? 4/14 Elizabeth AMPS 154/140, PMPS 121, +3 86, +5 115

Good morning! Elizabeth had AMPS of 154, with a second test one minute later 140. She's hungry and a bit agitated in the morning, so I'm wondering if that's why her numbers always seem to be higher in the AM? Also wondering why a food that is supposed to be lower carb wouldn't lower her BG a bit? Any answers or ideas?

Usually the AMPS numbers are the last to come down. There is something called the Dawn Phenomenon that brings higher numbers then.

Does Elizabeth get any meals at night? When kitties are on such a small dose, it's often useful to feed a small meal around +8 or +9 to help bring down the preshot numbers.

ETA: And lastly, I don't see any other tests last night, so this morning could have been a bit of a bounce if she went lower.

As is our standard night time routine, Elizabeth was served a can of FF at 11pm, and in the morning at 8am, none is left. I have never heard of Dawn Phenomenon, but that's interesting. Her numbers seem a bit higher since I switched her food, so I may switch back to the Hill's and see if that makes a difference.
