I would consider doing the 3 under 50 or one under 40 before reducing. Luci needs some more encouraging to get used to and stay in the 50-120 range. You do a terrific job with testing and keeping her safe, so long as she is acting okay in those 40s, I think it will help nudge her to hang out there longer.

Work the juice, Luci! :cat:

Well there she is - in the lagoon! No easing in today...look at that 112 point drop between 1+ (she was fed LC at 1+) and 2+ fed 1 tsp of MC - that girl just runs for it whenever...I guess this means the depot has adjusted and she's ready to roll...this is where she tries to go down with the sharks and I have to try to stay on top of her by testing frequently - is hourly enough? Or with this one should I test again in half an hour - just to see what's going on? I hate when she takes those deep dives ... she's a fast girl...what can I say! A fast cat! :D:D

What a drop! Good call on the MC. I would get a +3 and +4 since that’s the danger zone for her. If she stays over 50, I think you can space them out more.

Luci keeps her hands close so nobody can ever predict what she will do next.
This girl is crafty - no doubt about it - she shows no signs or symptoms of going hypo - she just lets that depot drive - and I guess the insulin she got this morning is also in the drivers seat. And those two together seem to lead her astray - every darn time she's swimming with the sharks before I know it! She seems so reluctant to go there...but when she does...she heads down deep. I'm hoping the time she spends surfing today will help her pancreas figure out what it's supposed to be doing - healing time surfing the lagoon...stay on your board Luci. I think I'm going to ask Diamond if we can borrow his tether and life vest for today's surfing experience!

I sympathize, Sue. Luci meet Asia, you are two peas in a pod! :joyful:

That girl isn't listening to a word I say - Luci - come away from the sharks!!! Get your little butt back up close to the top...need to surf! No diving allowed! She's getting too close to that line (50)...so I gave her a tiny bite of HC mixed with her MC - about two tsp MC and one tsp HC - FF gravy types - MC is 16%, HC is 21% - hope she'll listen to the food!!! Where are the life rafts???:nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:

Well look at Luci go!! Good job catching her deep dive. She reminds me of my grand daughter who used to swim for the swim team. She used to start off her race going along slower and she's let the other swimmers get a head of her and then she'd hit the midline of the pool and take off like a bat out of hell. I asked her once, "Julia, why do you do that? Is it to psych out everyone ? " And her response was, " I just like to!" .............just like Luci. :cat:

Ok, she's back on her board! Just fed her a tsp of MC - going to try to keep her up...she's got those wobble skier legs...you know when you first get up on your board and your legs are shaky and you fall in and the water slooshes up over your head...

Well, she's back on the board - she acts like she's feeling just fine too! Wants to go out and walk in our outer corridor...DH caught her at the door...she already walked out there once today - wants to lay on the concrete and roll around...silly girl! She needs to focus on surfing lessons today!:rolleyes:

Getting close to the beach now. She sure acts like she's feeling fine and having a good afternoon - mama hovering around..I think mama's going to give her a little break...test in 2 hours? What do you think? Is it too soon...I have a feeling since she's been solidly going up that my next test will read 'beach'...and she'll coast along until her next shot...we'll see how my prediction holds up as the day progresses.:D:D

So considering her time in the lagoon today and her PMPS being exactly the same as it was last night - any thoughts on what we can expect this evening? I presume at this point her depot is full - or it was earlier today so she had a nice ride in the lagoon. Is that 257 at PMPS a 'bounce' from being in the lagoon? She had better numbers today than her last few visits...and for a nice long run...The last time she had numbers like this was on 3/30 - a nice long run in the lagoon...but then didn't get as high by PMPS either...
Should I get a 1+ tonight???

We usually always get 2+ and 4+ - and then go from those numbers as to setting alarm clocks for mama bean to get up and check on her - feeding as indicated by numbers at those times...
