China honey....one cycle into the green is not a cure for ITF!!

I think unless there's a drastic drop by PMPS, I'm just going to go for it..see if I can get her attention. (already put 1.25 in the U column for PM tonight.....hoping maybe she'll see it....LOL)

Had a busy morning taking DM to PT and then to get her first perm! (at least she doesn't remember ever having one before!) Hoping it'll help keep her hair looking better a little longer than a day or two since her wrists have such bad arthritis she can't handle a curling iron ....and I have no experience at all with them so wouldn't have the first idea what to do with one if I tried!

Got rain and storms today but we've been lucky that when we've had to be out, it's been dry! Looking forward to next week since the rain should help "green things up" around here...tired of everything being the same color of brown

Hope everyone has had a good Fursday and your kitties are all feeling great!

China, sweetie, you are headed in the wrong direction if you want to avoid a dosecrease! Cinco is also under the threat - have you two been talking again?!

My mom got her hair permed for as long as I can remember. It was like mine - fine and thin and almost straight (just enough curl to make it stick out awkwardly if you don't style it). In her later years she stopped using curlers and just kept it really short, so the perm made it very low maintenance. I think it helps a woman feel better if she knows her hair looks good. I'll bet your DM enjoyed the pampered feeling one gets when having one's hair done!

Feel free to send some of that rain this way. The little bit of green we got from the paltry rains we've had is fading fast.

work that juice, China!

I only had a perm once - spent the next 2 weeks trying to stand down-wind of my hair, LOL. They are powerful perfumey chems!

I went ahead and pulled the trigger tonight....enough is enough!

Hopefully in another cycle or 3 I'll have my green kitty back!!

@julie & punkin (ga) That SO reminds me of my first perm!! I'd had long (down to my knees) straight hair forever and after my divorce and moving to a new part of Missouri and everything, convinced myself that it was time for a change, but I'm strictly a "wash and wear" kind of gal...so whatever they did had to be able to be just washed, dried and done. I agreed to a perm (not really having any idea what it was) and the next morning when I woke up I looked like I had a REALLY bad afro from the 60's!! I was livid!!

Got in touch with the lady that did it and found out that there was a lot she hadn't told me about caring for a perm! Needless to say, once it grew out I swore never again!
