yesterday's R trial + RVC comments

Happy Caturday to all, hope today finds you well.

My second email from Ruth at the RVC is attached in yesterday's condo, to keep it all in one place.

This morning I gave Crystal 2.5uR. So far not much movement but it might show up in tomorrow's cycle, who knows with Crystal. Sun is shining and Crystal is laying on the pool cover getting the extra warmth, her own private water bed, and repellig all invaders who try to join her.

Just watched some of the ANZAC day memorial service in London on the BBC, including a short explanatory documentary of the Galipoli landings, hadn't realised that it was such an unnecessary slaughter under some disastrous decisions, very sad.

Day of chores for the beans as friends over for dinner tomorrow. Just off to make a new dessert recipe, white chocolate strawberry cheesecake, if it tastes as good as it looks I will be happy.

Enjoy the weekend, vines to all in need.

Hi Suki,
I hope Crystal is feeling a bit better with the snuffles. I was interested to read what Ruth has written. It is good you have that contact.
Your white chocolate strawberry cheesecake sounds very yummy. I am sure it will be delicious - lucky guests.

I am pleased you were able to watch some of the ANZAC service from the BBC. It is a fairly sacred day out here.

I hope the R brings down Crystal for you.
Have a great weekend.

284 + 5
256 + 7
283 + 8.25

Thanks for looking in Bron, Crystal's not moving too much at the moment, just flat and yellow :( oh well, could be worse.

Have a good weekend too, hope things are back to normal in your household.

I'm finding the information in your threads fascinating, Suki. Still so much for me to learn about acro cats. You're helping your girl, but your also helping others of us ... thank you.

Now Crystal. Help daBean. Work that R.

Marilyn and Polly

Thanks Marilyn for your comments, this is new unchartered territory for me so perhaps it will help some other acrokitties in the future. She's still very flat though, see what the next couple of cycles bring. Enjoy your weekend.

Riffing on yesterday's condo, I get blood work and urinalysis done for Neko every six months, in hopes of catching something early. Kidneys are definitely a concern as Suzanne found with Cobb. :( Neko's has started showing some issues there. I'd recommend getting a urine protein creatinine ratio test done next time you are in getting tests. Proteinuria, which Neko has, is common in acros. If Crystal does not have it, then you'll have a baseline which I wish I had. I am treating with benazapril and it has lowered her urine protein numbers, which is supposed to help the kidneys last longer. One more thing, getting a baseline blood pressure is good, though it can be inflated with vetty stress. Neko went from 210 after a gong show vet visit to 124 at the dental vet in a kennel in a quiet room by herself with Feliway plug ins.

Flat yellow is better than flat pink. I wonder if you will see a delayed reaction to it.

Any leftover dessert you can share?

@Wendy&Neko , thank you Wendy for all the good info, my vet list is getting longer but best to do everything possible on one day. Just having a lovely Crystal cuddle, I too am wondering when we will see the effects of this R dose, don' t think it will be tonight. At home tomorrow so no problem - dessert is for tomorrow night but looking good and best of all, very easy to make.

Like everyone else watching your condo and learning with you. Don't know if Toby is acro
or not he hasn't been tested for any high dose conditions. So we just take one day at a time.
