Yesterday's Condo

Late Condo Queen reporting in!

Thanks to Elise, Amy, Carla and Mariko (so great to hear from you!) for visiting us last night/this morning.

Cinco did a drive-by visit to the lagoon today, I think. I got wrapped up in the NASCAR race and forgot to test between +5 and +7.75, so he could have gone lower. I guess that'll just be his little secret. Since China was in the lagoon, he probably hung out there for a while. He has my permission to take a moonlight swim tonight if he so chooses. I am sooooo loving this run of greens and (anti-jinx) hope it continues for a while (anti-jinx).

I just have to share this picture of him sleeping. This seems to be his favorite position lately, and if he had eyes, I'd say he's trying to block out the light, but....

Note the presence of the nanner. :) Can I get an "Awwww!" ?

Minka's appy was slow to get started this morning, but got pretty close to happy by this afternoon. She didn't care for this morning's entree (darn it - Dave's Restricted Diet Pork), but a little Wellness Salmon and Trout got her to eat about 1/2 her portion after the tummy meds kicked in, and by mid afternoon the rest was gone. She had several more snacks of the same through the rest of the afternoon and ate almost 3/4 of her dinner on the first try - the currently reliable Evo 95% Chicken and Turkey. I'm almost out of it, and picked up 6 more cans while we were out this afternoon. I'm afraid to order a case, because you know what would happen...:banghead:

Sasha liked the Dave's...Pork, but I didn't want to give her too much because of her tendency to get an upset tummy from new foods. When she finished her first serving and wanted more, I switched to the more familiar Wellness. I'm hoping just giving small amounts of a new food, interspersed with familiar ones, will work better for her. So far, so good (anti-jinx).

Harvey and Cinco both liked the pork. I may just have to keep it as a sometimes item that I have to pair with something else for the girls. Wouldn't life be so much easier if they all liked one food and it was one that was good for all of them??? What am I thinking? These are cats!:p:joyful:

After a fairly lazy Sunday, it's time to go get dinner ready - Nothing too strenuous - leftover ribs, baked potatoes, salad and fresh corn on the cob (which just started showing up in the stores this week. Not sure how good it is yet). And wine, of course! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug: Special prayers for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, DH and DGD, Marje's DM, Chris' DM and Elise's DM.

Hey Cinco....I'm down swimming laps...come on back down and we'll have some fun!! ~China

Very nice couple of cycles Cinco!! He's looking much better with the dosecrease!

Great that the girls are eating better....is that TWO days in a row?? Wow...better throw in some (anti-jinx) (anti-jinx) (anti-jinx) in there

Sundays are made to be lazy, so good job!! The corn on the cob in California may be OK, but the stuff we're getting in the stores is still pretty much the flavor of cardboard (just like the tomatoes)

I'm going to go check out one of the Mennonite farms tomorrow...they've got tomatoes on their sign...they'll be grown in a greenhouse to be ripe this early in the year, but those Mennonites seem to know some kind of trick to make them actually taste like tomatoes, even though they're hothouse grown....but they'll get even better as they are grown "au natural". I just love living in Mennonite country...especially in the summer when there's fresh produce to be had!

Hope Cinco accepts China's invitation to come on back to the lagoon....but hopefully they'll stay out of trouble for a change....lol

You sure can: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! at that marvelous picture. He looks so comfy. So content.

Good news on the girls' eating today.

What a great picture of Cinco! He looks very comfy. Interesting about the fuds. I hope you find something that they all will like!!

Have a good evening, Tricia. I can't believe that you get fresh corn at this time of year! In the Northeast corn on the cob is an August thing.

You can have as many Awwwwws as you'd like! Awwwwww! What a snuggle muffin. I just want to smoosh him:p. Chyna liked her nanner as a pillow, too. Shira just chewed the crap out of hers until it turned green and the end fell off:rolleyes:. I don't think Ivy cared one way or the other. I have to buy some more! I was going to from that site Amy posted about but the nanners don't ship to Canada. But one of the local pet stores sells them now:)

Yay for mostly good fuds sessions, barring the several cans selection...good thing you have four cats to spread them out to? Maybe someday they will all decide on one perfect food:p

Your dinner sounds delish! I had soup from a can, I was lazy...well, hopefully Cinco will slide down for you now. Have a good night Tricia!

Awwwwdorable! A drive by lagoon is better than none at all. :D

Paws crossed the girls appy continues.

Thanks for visiting us, Chris, Marilyn, Ella, Rachel and Wendy.

Cinco is headed down, but I don't know if he'll make it to the lagoon before China heads for shore. He's taking his time. That's okay. I have no desire to see a bounce any time soon.

The corn was young - better than the packaged ears, but nothing like we'll see in a month or two. They grow some awesome corn around here.

Chris, my sister lives in the heart of Amish/Mennonite country in Ohio. She gets lots of good veggies and fruit and furniture and linens and all sorts of stuff there. We don't have anything like that here. About the only thing we have going for us is the weather.

I can't wait for our tomatoes to fruit. The six plants I got at Costco last week have blooms on them. Meanwhile, the grape tomatoes at Costco are the best of a bad lot.

Both of the girls ate their dinner with no issues (Evo again, but you stick with what you know works). Both have already had seconds. :)

Rachel, I bought more than just nanners through that link Ann posted. I hate going to that site, as I always spend $$$!

Dinner was yummy. I baked the taters because I got busy online and forgot to get them ready to roast. I'll roast them next time.
