Yesterday's Condo

Late Condo Queen here. My dear, darling Cinco continues to keep his Mama off the ledge by bringing the great numbers (anti-jinx). :D:D:D What a lovely, long green surf. And look at those PS numbers! :woot:Thank you, baby. Mama loves you!:kiss::kiss:

Today was another crappy appy day for Minka. I am totally at my wit's end. I am so glad we go to the vet's office tomorrow, because I need some perspective and educated opinions from someone that can see her. She ate very little this morning - maybe two or three very small bites, combined, of the four different cat foods I offered. I managed, over the course of the day, to get almost a whole jar of baby food into her (but that's only 100 calories). After she refused two different fuds tonight at dinner time (two that she's been eating fairly reliably), I got out the syringe. I only got about 5 ml into her, though, because she was just so upset about the whole thing. Through the day, she had a whole Ondansetron tablet (4mg) this morning, plus her 5 mg of Pepcid. A few hours later she had a dose of Cerenia. She also got a dose of Cypro. Later this afternoon I even gave her some SEB. This afternoon I realized she hadn't been napping today at all. She seems definitely uncomfortable - tries to meatloaf, but has to do it slowly and shift position often. I was reading on Tanya's site that this is a sign of stomach acid issues, as is the rest of her behavior. That's when I broke out the SEB, as I'd already given her the max dose of everything else. I just don't know what else to do for her. This is killing me. :(:arghh::banghead:

Sasha's appy has been stellar all day (and boy has she been excited about the baby food that has come her way!). So has Cinco's. Harvey was Mr. Picky again this morning. I tried the Dave's 95% Chicken and Chicken Liver. Cinco and Sasha ate it quite happily. Harvey and Minka wanted nothing to do with it.

Harvey even turned down some Fancy Feast T&G. No issues with the baby food, though. He ate a good dinner - Dave's Tuna & Shrimp in Gravy.

I got my single can order of the different Dave's flavors yesterday. There are several that Ann doesn't have on her list, so I'm trying to figure out the carb and phosphorus numbers. I am lousy at that. There are several different calculators available, and they all seem to come up with different numbers. And what's with the negative carb percentages? Dr. Lisa doesn't have any with negative percentages on her list. I'm just not smart enough to do this. :banghead:

I have sauce for chicken cacciatore simmering on the stove, so I'd better go get the chicken cooking. Sorry I haven't done a lot of visiting. I'll try to pop in and see some of you tonight if I can. Please know I'm thinking of you all, even if I don't post on your condos.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug: Special prayers for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, DH and DGD, Marje's DM, Chris' DM and Elise's DM.

I wonder if Minka could have p-titis...this was 13 years ago, but my GA civvie, Mr Kitty, developed p-titis when he was on chemo for lymphoma. And when Trix had her very first bout last year, she was doing just what you described Minka is doing - trying to meatloaf, but kept moving around and shifting because nothing she did made her comfortable. She went from pillow to chair to blanket to pillow and so on...never able to close her eyes, rest, put her head down, or sleep.

Sending along more hugs and prayers.

Cinco - very good boy. Momma needs some smiles today.

Paws crossed vetty has some answers for Minka tomorrow. Piles of appy vines going your way. :bighug::bighug:

So many bolts of appy light for Minka. And good vetty thoughts vines. And oh so many hugs for you Tricia. So many.

Breathe.

Sending good vetty vines for Minka tomorrow. Maybe she has too many different meds in her system and they are canceling each other out? I hope she'll eat something tonight.

Cinco, good boy to surf so well. Rusty was happy to see you in the lagoon.

Tiffany had bouts of pancreatitis with her lymphoma and crf but I don't know what else you could give Minka other than trying injectable nausea meds. I hope the vet has alternatives to suggest. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Many vines for Minka, appy, feel-good, vetty, and any other varieties that will help. And hugs for you, Tricia. Your kitties are lucky to have such a dedicated bean. Zener wants to remind you of his advice: "more petting, less sorry". I know, easier said than done.

Hey Cinco....this is China's mamabean.....I have to be gone most of tomorrow and I'd appreciate it if you'd keep an eye on her if she's down at the lagoon!

She's down there now being a good kitty and staying close to shore, so if you join her tonight, you two be good kitties!!

Sending lots of good vetty vines for Minka tomorrow and I sure hope they can figure out something to get her eating more normally! I know how stressful that has to be on you, so here's hoping they have an ace up their sleeve that'll get her eating again!

Thanks for stopping by, Julie, Amy, Wendy, Marilyn, Ella, Elise, Liz and Chris.

I appreciate all your input and made notes to discuss with the vet tomorrow. I would never have thought about p-titis, but I will certainly ask about testing her for it. She has eaten some more baby food and the chicken I cut up for her. I wondered if she might be constipated, as she's only had a few very small, dry poos lately, so DH gave her a dose of hairball remedy. She's sleeping right now, for the first time today. Oh! She just rolled off the back of the sofa! Poor thing, she was so startled. She's curled up on a pillow on DH's lap now.

Cinco faked me out with a food spike, but now he's coming down. Next stop, lagoon? Paw crossed.
