Glad the increase is helping. I was wondering if the steroids were daily, but now I see it on the SS plain as day!

Does the season changes into spring affect his asthma?
Haha it's okay! I only put that I give steroids in the World tab and not the US tab because I'm too lazy to transfer that info to the US sheet. I think I'll go fix that soon/one day.
Hm! I don't know if the spring is affecting his asthma. So the story is this: when I adopted him 4 years ago, he would cough every once in a while. The exact frequency I can't remember but I would bring him to the vet that I no longer see. They are a smaller clinic. He did chest x-rays and didn't see anything abnormal and even sent them to a specialist. Didn't see anything and just prescribed about a week's worth of steroids and l-lysine. I think I would see him about 2 more times about his coughing before I decided it was nothing and maybe it's just hairballs. He'd continue to cough here and there - sometimes a few times a week.
Fast track to October of this year and we took rads again and the vets that I see now see evidence of asthma. This was the same time he went into DKA and pancreatitis. But since being on pred and since then, I haven't noticed him coughing until the last two times I recorded. The first time was probably because I took out my dusty laptop and the last time he did it I don't have a reason for it.
I changed his litter after October to a non-dust one.
So I think, maybe it could be weather related? I'll have to observe more.
But he's on pred mainly because of his chronic pancreatitis - not so much because of his asthma. I did a specFPL back in February and he was at 34.1 without any symptoms so that's why my vet is wary of taking him off pred. He'll probably get anything specFPL test in the beginning of June.
Any particular reason the steroids are twice daily? Just thought once a day would be one less pilling - always a bonus in my book.
My thinking and also my vet's was to keep things the same to help with his BSL and dosing. What do you think though? He's fine with being pilled. He knows the drill lol. No dinner until he hops onto the table, lays down to get his ear poked and then pilled. Sometimes I'll stick it in his food but I just like to know it's in there so I just pill him. He's good with that.
He HATES being pilled cerenia though lol. Too bitter!!!!!
