Good morning! Last 4 nights, her pmps and +3 have been the same number, or 1 or 2 points different, and then higher amps the next morning..thats kinda strange, and today she is lower. I guess she went lower last night and is rising, but how low? Ive been trying to give just a drop more insulin since 4/1, and she did go low that day to 47, but has been a bit higher since. I am home today, so curious to see where she is headed, so I will get a +3 and update then. Maybe that one drop was what she needed. And, she pooped last night after pmps, so maybe that is what drove her lower over night. Still adding 1/4 tsp Miralax 2xday. Have a great Friday!
 
I guess she didnt need that extra drop..and it was really an extra drop!:eek: This is twice under 50 since 4/1. I hesitated, but decided to give hc gravy since its early in the cycle. I will test in 30 min. And,thanks Elise!

Im not sure I want to wait and see Elise. I mean..I just happen to be here today, and it took gravy and honey to get her up. I guess I have to decide what to do. It was really a drop more she got anyway, and I would just reduce back to a drop less if I do. I think she was still dropping from going low overnight, and then she pooped also this am, so the dropping number and pooping seemed to hit her at the same time.

That is what happened to me the other night and why I considered a reduction. Taking off the drop might be a good idea.
 
Goodness, Chi Chi! You are giving your mamabean a workout today! Green is good, but there are limits. I'm glad you came back in to the shallows. There are sharks out there, you know!

Nice job getting her up, Laura. I'm sure it's not how you planned to spend your day off, it's a good thing you were there! I hope she surfs for you now.
 
I've never been able to shoot through the bounce for one reason or another. Usually the bounce doesn't hit at the beginning of the next cycle for Max. If Chi Chi bounces I probably would shoot through the bounce and reduce tomorrow but see how you feel at pmps and then decide what you feel like doing.

I've been thinking like you that Max was about ready for this but didn't think it would happen today. i think Chi Chi is following closely. Enjoy the rest of your day off. Do you get Sunday off? Knowing your luck even if you do you will end up having to go in anyway but I hope not.
 
No, Im working Easter. It will either be busy or slow..nothing in between at assisted living communities. Either they go out with family, or the family comes in. Honestly, I wish all the families would take their loved ones out for the day..for the residents sake, not ours. It doesnt matter to me at all, its just the residents see others going out, and yet they are eating same place day in and out. They enjoy going out for a change, and some, never get out..So, yes I will be there with my extended family:). Meanwhile..I am anxious to see what pmps will be for us tonight. Max is sure different in the way he drops later,and or bounces later huh?o_O
 
Yes, Max seems to have delayed reactions. In case it's the hc doing it I am trying 9% if he drops under 50. It worked today and now we see if it prevents a bounce.
 
I got an 89 at pmps..tested again and was 110 so the average is 99. I decreased by that extra drop, cuz she made it clear it was a bit much...hopefully it will keep her in greens , just not low under 50 greens! She has a vetty appt. Wed. for her annual bloodwork etc. so anxious to see what results are. No real issues to speak of besides the poop being hard and dry, and every other day. She has pooped several days in a row however during the past week. They want her fasting with no insulin or food, but Im not so sure Im going along with that..cant wrap my head around it. The girl who took my appt. said they want her fasting glucose # is the reason:confused:.
I will update at +3 tonight.

I think I'd lose that extra drop too!!

When my DM was in Assisted Living, we always took her out for the holidays (and other times too of course) and we always also took one of the other residents who didn't have family along with us. They were always so grateful to get out, and we heard some of the greatest stories about their lives chatting over dinner too.
 
When Neko was booked for her last b/w, the person who called to remind me first said to fast - for an afternoon appointment! o_O I reminded them she was diabetic and they said food was OK. Since you are testing BG's, I don't see a reason you need to fast and go without insulin for a regular b/w. Might want to have them double check with the vet.
