Quick condo....all is well with Trix, including a nice AMBG (she must have eaten some of the overnight fuds last nigh!), and fairly easy gelcapping. Snuggles and all that good stuff, of course, too! No follow-up pokey this morning thanks to that nice, normal number we've got.

I haven't gotten an update on my Dad yet today, but we are heading to the endocrinologist in an hour, so I'll know more then. I'm sure he's still about the same, maybe a teeny tiny hair better. Frustrating....

Gotta get moving....have a great day, L&LL!

Amy

She just barfed, totally out of the blue :-(.....DH is on vet alert since I have to go to the doc with my parents. Of course I didn't give her cerenia this morning.....

Sorry about the vomit. I hope it's just this once. Sending prayers for your dad. I hope he has a good appointment.

Gave her a cerenia, and she threw up again 20 minutes later. Have a vet appointment for this afternoon.....what a nightmare.

Oh dear, Trixie. Just when Mama had a happy condo about you this morning (oops - you forgot to put in an anti-jinx!). Sweetie, your mama doesn't need any extra stress.

Sending tummy vines for Miss Trixie, as well as good vetty vines. Prayers and vines for your DF, and :bighug: for you.

Trix's vetty visit was uneventful. "Our" vetty was on vacation, but the vetty on duty really just gave her a cerenia injection at my request. She really basically seems to be OK - she's not meatloafing, she's snuggling, she was waiting for dinner, etc. I'm going very slow with fuds, though, and I was absolutely petrified to do her pills this evening, but I did do them about 40 minutes ago, and so far so good (anti-jinx). Just with her kidney values the way they are, anything like this rattles my nerves. DH did see her poop while I was out with my parents - that actually would be her second poop this morning, which does make me wonder if she was a little backed up and that was why she barfed.

My Dad's appointment with the endocrinologist was pretty straight forward, although of course since it's new to my parents, it was VERY overwhelming to them. But I think I retained the bulk of it...it's not much different that dealing with Trix's FD!

However, after that appointment, his oncologist called for yet another round of BW and a new chest x-ray, since he's not feeling much better. He really has no coughing or congestion...he's just weak, tired, lack of appy, low grade fever. All of these are side effects of the AB, but I feel like I'm pounding my head against the wall about it. Hopefully the x-ray will show that the infection is gone, and they can take him off that stupid AB...and hopefully he'll bounce back. But I haven't heard anything, so I don't know if they've heard anything. Back in a horrible holding pattern.

My nerves are more than shot....

((((Amy)))) I know how stressful this is for you, but you've got to remember that your dad is very strong, but at the moment his body is just not in balance because of the various drugs. We have got to believe that he'll rally once the doctors decide it is safe for him to go off of the ABs and get all his other meds under control.
Thinking of him tonight and sending lots of vines.
More vines for Trixie, who may be picking up on your anxiety.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Vines and prayers and hugs and anything else that might help. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I recommend an adult beverage or two.

It usually helps me....;)

try to think of it as be safe rather than sorry.... for your dad...

but i sure relate to frustrations abound and anxieties galore.

Adding hugs and vines....

(((Amy)))
Sending lots of vines to Trixie and to your dad. I hope Trixie's tummy issues clear up quickly. It's good that she was acting normal and snuggly! Paws crossed for happy appy and no more barfs.

Sending loads and loads of vines and prayers your way. It must be so stressful dealing with all of this at once. I so admire all you do for your Dad and Trixie. It is a testament to your character. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
