Last Night's Condo
Just thought I would mix things up and post before sunset.
Thanks to Carla, Amy and Elise for checking in on us early this morning.
Cinco is spending so much time in the lagoon lately that I keep checking for fins! NOT complaining!! And anti-jinx! Yesterday I actually left him at 67 and went to bed when he was at 77. I never would have done that a year ago. However, I had no real choice about the afternoon, and my helicopter kept flying sideways last night because I was falling asleep at the controls!
I'm lucky he's such a good boy. I was here for the whole beautiful surf today.

Much as I need a few days away, I am really hating to send him to boarding and break the momentum we have going here. I hate to knock him off track. He's had blue pre-shots for the past five cycles in a row (anti-jinx)! That's the first time in almost two months he's done that. I am so grateful that he is doing so well and that my biggest worry for him is messing up his green streak!!! We are blessed.
Minka did not want breakfast this morning.
Yesterday, after her acupuncture, I stopped for a turkey sandwich, which I tried to eat in the car. I say "tried" because I suddenly had a cat in my lap who almost grabbed the meat right out of my mouth! She's never been like that! Needless to say, she got about 1/3 of the turkey from the sandwich (fortunately, they are generous with it), and after I got her home I went out and bought some deli turkey. She happily ate it last night when she wouldn't eat cat food. Today, all she's had is turkey and baby food, but she's eating, at least, and she doesn't look uncomfortable, so I'm counting it as a win.
Sasha woke me up at 3:45 am, making that ominous sound we all dread. I dropped her off the side of the bed and she threw up. Now I'm pretty sure that she was the one that threw up yesterday evening. I gave her some Ondansetron and some Cerenia, and a couple of hours later she was happily eating baby food. She had a couple of bites of cat food, but doesn't seem to want more than that. Between them, she and Minka have polished off three jars of chicken baby food today! Harvey has gotten one small spoonful from each jar, just to shut him up!
I think Sasha's tummy, which was sensitive when she was young, has been made sensitive again by the radiation and chemo. She seems to get sick whenever I slip in a new food - even sometimes new flavors of a familiar brand. I may just have to stick to the tried and true with her.
I picked up the bronchodilator for Sasha yesterday. The vet said I could keep her on the pred a little longer, so I think I will keep her on the every other day schedule for pred and leave her on the AB through the weekend and start the bronchodilator on Monday. I'd like to be here to observe how it affects her the first few times she takes it. She has sounded a little "rough" to me once or twice since we went to every other day with the Pred, but not bad, so I think she'll be okay till Monday.
Harvey and Cinco still have summer appy, but Cinco polishes his fuds off with the addition of a little Forti Flora. Harvey just takes a while - if he sees nothing better is coming along (like baby food or turkey), he eventually goes back and eats his fuds. He thinks he can fool me into giving him some forbidden food, but I'm wise to his tricks!!
I have a lot of gel-cap filling and instruction writing to do, so I'd better get to it.
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans.
Special prayers for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, DH and DGD, Marje's DM, Chris' DM and Elise's DM.
