Fed 4.5oz pate +2 T water. .8oz pate + 1 T water + .5 tsp pumpkin @ +4. .5oz FF Kitten + 1 T water @ +7.
Gave him 8 units. Feeling a bit uneasy about this for some reason. Maybe because it's his first yellow preshot? It's barely a yellow so I'm trying to chill out. DH will be monitoring and will wake me up if he starts dropping too fast or too low.
He had 1/4 cup water with 4 pieces of Stella & Chewy's to provoke urine sample at +10.
FINALLY got a urine sample.
Leukocytes: MODERATE +125 (worse than 3/27... what the heck?!)
Nitrite: NEG
Uro-bilinogen: Normal
Protein: TRACE
PH: 6.25 (between 6.0 and 6.5 was hard to determine)
Blood: NEG
Specific Gravity: 1.015
KETONE: NEGATIVE
Bilirubin: NEG
Glucose: Mix of 250+ and 500+
I have no idea why his leukocytes are getting worse? Is he maybe dumping the white blood cells to get rid of the infection? It was day 13 yesterday. Only 3 more doses to go. I might see if his vet is in today when I take my dog, April, in for her appt.

No insight for your on the leukocytes - definitely a vetty question. But very happy to see negative ketones.

It does look like you are closing in on the purrfect dose - dare I mention the lack of red and black numbers the past couple of days (anti-jinx)?

Haha "Special" is right! He's a trampoline specialist!
I wondered if he was going to start bouncing from yellows after being pink for so long. He's at least back to the numbers he was getting on his diet controlled attempt.
I also wondered if the late FF snack used up what was left available and let him spike after his meal instead of only going up 100 or so points. Do you get what I mean? I'm not the best at explaining my thoughts or suspicions. I'm not even sure if that's a possible result...

PMPS: 247
Fed usual.
Gave 8 units
+3 177!!
That's wonderful, Steph. Just keep on. One thing folks here like to see is updates on your SS as soon as you can manage. Day 3 in the filling of the depot. Maybe it's nearly there ...

 Surfing in the blues. Wonderful!
Vet said she wasn't too worried about the increased leukocytes. She said to test if he shows symptoms and she will spin it and inspect it. Only worry that I missed the symptoms in the first place. Guess I'll just keep a closer eye on his potty habits.

Yes to all. I'll test and post before shooting. So anything over 160 should get full 8 units?
I figured I'd have more time to get comfortable with the idea before having to shoot such a "low" number for Chuck.
