Yesterday's Condo

Looks like you did less testing today Tina. ;) The trial is also for the bean to learn to ease off, but it's amazing how many people find that the hardest part.

Yes, less testing yesterday since I was at work all day, but it was really hard not to want to come home to test. Sammy didn't eat anything, or only the tinyest bit, yesterday while I was at work and I was a bit nervous with the 136 last night, but then I fed him, he dropped to 63 two and a half hours after the the first feeding. Sammy did eat about every 30-60 minutes over that time, and I believe it was about 60 minutes after eating that I took that test.

I left food out all night, probably more than I needed too, and it was nearly all gone this morning. Last little snack was around 90 minutes before the morning test. I am off to work again today so no mid day tests. I am hoping that he does a bit better with eating today, but I have found that he really sleeps most of the day unless the Beans are around to stimulate.

Come on Sammy you can do it. Must feel nice not to have to worry all the time when your at work.

Yes, so nice not to have to worry about him going too low. But now I sort of worry about him not eating. LOL! I guess there will always be something. When my kitties are not sick I don't worry if they take a few bites and then walk away, but when they are feeling up to par I worry that there might be something major that we need to look into.

Looking GREAT Sammy!! :D :D And I wouldn't worry about yesterday when you know he got food that makes his BG spike - he came right back down on his own which is good news for showing his pancreas working (anti-jinx).

Yeah, he came down nicely. I was seriously worried, and even a little last night when he was over 100 again. I am wondering if all the inverted curves before this trial have sort of screwed up his system and it might take a little while for his body to figure out that he doesn't have to work against himself. Hopefully his numbers will just continue to improve.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Happy day 4:D:D:D:D! I think once we have cats deal with an illness we never overlook normal odd cat behaviors again. I long for the carefree days but know that being aware catches things early. A double edged sword. Have a great day!!

I totally agree. I think I catch things a lot quicker because I am aware of how my cats act when they are feeling good, and when they change their habits I immediately know something is quite right.

Sammy is a little higher than I would like to see but still within the normal. Last night when he was 136 at PMBG he came down 2.5 hours later, so I am hoping I see the same tonight.
