Hi L&LL

Well, dumbfounded yet again with Crystal's numbers so far this morning:

226 at AMPS - gave 2.5u R
306 + 2.5 - where did that come from?
274 +4
248 + 6

It appears what worked yesterday, doesn't work today!

Appy good, cuddles good, snoozing and snoring the day away as it's raining. At least I don't have to water the flower tubs today.

Vines to all in need, especially poor little Zoey :bighug:

I guess all we can do is do the best we can and hope we can give them a good life. The numbers are not always the best but as long as they are feeling good we know we are doing
something right. Hope you are feeling better with your cold.

They just want to keep us guessing, don't they? It is so frustrating. Just when you think you have it figured out they put a spanner in the works!
Hope your cold is improving :bighug:

That can be true that what works one day, doesn't work the next especially with R because you also have the basal insulin action to consider. Maybe she's bouncing off the nice blues so the R can't do what it did yesterday...as an example.

Hope you are feeling better.

Good afternoon, or is it Good Evening your time!

Crystal, just what are you up to? Why don't you come on down and get back to some solid blue and a bit of green.

Hi Tina, it's early evening nearly 18.30. My sentiments exactly.

Well, she was actually coming down at PMPS at 266 so gave her a slightly reduced 2.75uR as I couldn't make a decision between 2.5 or 3.00! Hope this works for a bit of blue action later in her cycle.

Hi there

Another characteristic of IAA is that IAA can retard the initial rise of available insulin after an injection.
It appears what worked yesterday, doesn't work today!
On the surface it may appear that way however appearances can be deceiving ;)
At least I don't have to water the flower tubs today.
I do !!!

Also, remember that while it doesn't "look" the R did anything, you don't know if it kept Crystal from going much higher. It's a lot of guessing!!

((((Suki)))) The important thing is that you take care of yourself and that nasty cold!! Days like this just focus on the 5 P's(although Tiger isn't really a playful cat :rolleyes: if she got the first 4 P's, I call it a win LOL!) Get a good night's sleep! :bighug::bighug:

When Neko was at the same stage in her dance, I'd claim a victory with a couple of cycles that barely touched pink. You are doing an awesome job Suki. :bighug:

I read somewhere that rhinoviruses don't like heat, and that inhaling warmed air, with or without steam, tends to discourage their reproduction and reduce the infection.

Thanks Ruth and Wendy for looking in and for your comments, just have to chalk yesterday's cycles up to experience. This is proving a virus that wants to hang around a bit BJ, so worth a try, thank you.

This morning AMPS was a nice surprise at 153, but don't know whether she was coming up or going down. Had problems drawing blood and while I was messing about wasting 3 strips, she tucked into her breakfast, otherwise I would have waited a bit to see which way she was going. so, on that basis and also the fact that I will be out for a few hours later, I decided not to give her any R this morning

Btb for a few hours before a busy day.

I missed your condo yesterday but just wanted to post to say hi.

Most diabetic cats have some level of inconsistency and it seems like it can be magnified in our high dose cats. All you can do is your best - which you are doing. Her body will do what it does.

I'm glad Crystal's off to a better start today! Sending you a big hug!
