Yesterday's Long Green Day :D

Another lovely day slightly marred by a yellow AMPS. Cinco has me on my toes with his PMPS, wondering if he's going to pull a fast one by surfing blue or go for a moonlight swim with China. Time will tell, but I'm ready!

Bad appy day for both girls. :( I finally resorted to SEB, and they seemed a little better. Both ate mainly baby food, chicken broth and a little boiled chicken today, but they both ate about half their dinner (with a lot of encouragement, plate holding and seasoning. :rolleyes: Harvey continues to be the food critic, although no one was too enthused about this morning's selection: Wellness Core Beef, Venison and Lamb. I ended up giving the remaining half of the can, plus another I had in the cabinet to my contractor, along with several other flavors that have been non-starters (he's the guy that lives in a semi-rural area and takes in strays, gets them vaccinated and fixed and tries to find them homes. At any given time he'll have around 15 cats, and this time of year usually has some kittens, too. Right now he has a nursing mother with four babies, so he really appreciates the high quality/high calorie food I give him).

Another lovely cool, breezy day here - perfect for having the windows open to dissipate the smell of varnish. Tomorrow the varithane goes on, and that should be the end of the smelly jobs. The handrail looks awesome and soooo much better than the PVC pipe, textured and painted, that was the original handrail. We always wondered what it was made of, and didn't find out until it came down. Talk about cheap!

Sorry I didn't get to any condos today. I was doing little projects around the house while my contractor worked, plus following kitties around with plates and begging. :confused: I will try to visit some tonight after dinner. More boiled chicken for me, with extra for the kitties.

Yep, looks like China and Cinco spent most of the day together!! She hasn't quite decided if she's going for a dip tonight, but I have a feeling the pull of the moonlight is going to get to her at some point!

Sending more appy vines for the girls...maybe the smells have their tummy's a little upset or their tastebuds off. I know I can't tolerate any of that kind of stuff...seems like it might be something that could effect our kitties as well
 
Thank you for the vines!! I need to find someone besides Brooklyn to take care of all our extra cans. I think I throw out as much cat food as they eat. That's nice that you can give someone the leftovers! Sending appy vines to all the kitties!
 
Cinco, it isn't easy being green. Kermit told me. But, steady as she goes, fellow.

I, too, wonder if the commotion and odor of the work in the house might be influencing the girls' appys. Sure wish they'd make feeding time a less challenging experience for you all.

What a super handy guy. Mine took in strays and managed a community cat colony near his apartment. Good guys.

What a nice run of greens Cinco had yesterday. Looks like he's head back to the lagoon tonight. Hope he doesn't go to the far deep end. Come on Cinco, settle in to a nice safe green surf for your mamabean, ok?
 
Thanks for visiting us, Bron, Molly (love the new avatar), Chris, Deanna, Rhiannon, Laura and Marilyn. I'm working my way to your condos, with trips upstairs in between, bearing food. (Marilyn, I think you were posting on ours as I was posting on yours!)

So far, so good (anti-jinx). Minka finished her dinner (over a period of a couple of hours) and I just gave her one and a half refills! :):):) Sasha wasn't thrilled with the Friskies SD T&G and only ate about half, so I followed up with some FF and that was a hit. :)

Harvey finally condescended to eat his T&G and was rewarded with some "forbidden" FF (unlike Sasha, he has kidney issues, so he gets FF only rarely).

Cinco looks like he's considering a swim. We'll see....(paws crossed)....

Today's stain was not nearly as smelly as yesterday's, so maybe with the windows open and the SEB, any effects it may have had on the girls is wearing off. We tried a lighter color, which was a different brand, yesterday. Sent DH a picture of it and he voted for the darker color. Contractor (also named Mark btw), and I were on the fence, so we ended up going with the darker stain. The lighter matched the floor, the darker matches the cabinets in kitchen, which is near the bottom, and the linen cabinet at the top of the stairs. I am just so darned tickled to finally get that hideous railing out of here and a beautiful, oak one in it's place, I don't really care which color we use!!!

Deanna, I do throw out a lot of food. It just happened that Mark was here when I determined I wasn't going to get anyone to eat the rest of today's choice, so I figured why dump it when he had hungry kitties at home. He works off his vet bill by doing repairs, etc., at the clinic. Really great guy. I try to help him out whenever I can, whether it's giving him cat food or odd jobs. He made a point of coming to do this while my Mark was gone, so that he could help me with anything I needed a stronger hand or back for.

I have gelcaps to fill, so will alternate that with the trips upstairs and visits to other condos. Busy, busy!
 
Looks like Cinco and Max are in the lagoon tonight. Hopefully the smell of the stains is the cause of the poorer than ever appetites and once the smell is gone they all will do much better.
 
Yup, Cinco is making an appearance tonight. He doesn't seem to be inclined to go looking for mermaids, fortunately. Hopefully he and Max will surf safely and smoothly.

Both girls just had a nice snack of chicken and broth. Minka just drinks the broth and leaves the chicken. :rolleyes:
 
Well Max is surfing now at 59. I'm going to sleep I hope. He won't drop more since it's past +7. Surf safely Cinco.
