Yesterday: Boomer's big escape
Good morning!
Thank you to everyone yesterday for their help, suggestions, light, vines, prayers, and ideas! When Boomer showed up the second time he was "talking" and obviously wanted in. I had closed the screen door earlier because I was afraid a skunk or raccoon might be drawn to the smell of food and walk in. So I edged towards the door and sat down and held up the plate of tuna so he could get a good whiff of it and then edged the door open as to not scare him off. You can imagine my relief when he came in far enough that I was able to close the screen door behind him. And it appears he survived Boomer's Big Escape unscathed....no cuts, bites, nothing tangled in his hair. Nothing! He just appeared tired
. When I came out of the bathroom right before bed, he had already jumped up and was having a tummy rub by Daddy Bean. When I went to sleep he was laying on the bench with his head on my hoodie (a normal spot for him to spend part of the night) but when I woke up at some point during the night he was stretched out beside me and he was still there this morning at 7:00. Not sure at this point what he ate last night; DH got up to start coffee and picked up the 3 plates of food so that Allen wouldn't eat them. DH did say there was one plate basically untouched which I'm betting was the chicken pate since Boomer isn't a big fan.

Don't know what I was expecting in the way of an AMPS but I do know it wasn't that!
Allen hardly ate anything overnight but during the evening he kept munching on the food that we were leaving for Boomer by the back door.
Today's menu: AMPs chicken pate with fowl ball, +3 ff seafood, +6 wellness chicken, +9 turkey pate
Today I have to do all the things that I was supposed to do yesterday but didn't get done because of worrying about you-know-who! Plus a trip to the pet store for food since tomorrow is a holiday and stores are closed.
