Hey y’all. Moe is at 341 at +10. I wish now that I’d gone ahead and given his insulin at his regular time last night. Oh well, we live, we learn, right?

Question: since I’m home all day to monitor and his BG is pretty high right now, can I give his shot earlier than +12 this morning? I normally dose at 5:15. Last night I shot at 7:30pm. I saw another post today where the person was advised by Marje to shoot at +10 to try and get back on schedule. I’d like to shoot at 6;30 this morning so I can be closer to schedule when I go back to work tomorrow.

Thanks! He’s already eaten about half a can of FF, so a little more than an ounce. So his AMPS will be influenced by food a little bit.

Unrelated, I put the Seresto collar on Moe yesterday morning, and he’s already got an irritated pink spot on his neck. He’s got a couple of spots on his neck where fur doesn’t grow (from wearing collars for years) and that’s where the irritation is showing up. I’m going to try and loosen the Seresto collar and see if that helps.

106 at PM +45 minutes and 112 at +1 hour. I’m going to give 8 units now. Getting ready for a possible pajama party.

I'm glad you delayed a bit tonight. I wouldn't have shot the full hour early this morning. Shooting early can act a bit like an increase.

Yes, the first several times you shoot lower numbers, it's very scary. Neko was very considerate and would always bounce up after I shot low at first. Made it easier on me.
