Friday's Condo
We had a nice weekend getting some things done in the yard and Noodle got a LOT of window time that continues today. She has developed a bad habit of going for the dog's dry food and she succeeded yesterday
Some days she succeeds without us realizing because she's scared the dog away from his bowl!! Not sure how she's eating the contraband dry food without any teeth, but she's determined.
We had a tech visit at the vet on Saturday for her bloodwork to get the ball rolling on surgery. After emailing with the vet Sunday, she suggested we reach out to a local hospital with two boarded surgeons to discuss an aggressive approach, including a mastectomy. She was not clear (didn't do the exam when I took her in) that the lump is near the mammary glands and thinks it's worthwhile to explore the aggressive option. I really wish I was approaching this situation with more conclusive aspiration results. If we had that and knew it was a tumor, I would feel more confident just going with a mastectomy. As it stands, it could be a cyst and we could put her through a much more intense surgery for "nothing", but is it better to be safe than sorry? I'm just not sure...
ETA: Just made an appointment with the surgeon for Wednesday the 13th, she could get surgery the same day! Shocked they could get me in so fast.
