I think he's finally back to eating his usual amount as of this afternoon. And of course back to elevated BG. How do we restart after around 4 days off insulin because of infection and not wanting to eat. Back to the dose he was on, some small reduction, or what? It's going to take some while for things to settle down again, I know. For right now, just gave him 1U to bring BG down a little - figure that will come out of the pm dose but we need to decide how much total of the 1U plus tonight's dosage. I'm a little hesitant to go for the full dose until he eats well for another day or more, since he's still on antibiotic, and Cipro for appetite.

Rather than give a second dose at PMPS, I'd wait until you are back on schedule. Call it an 18 hour dose in the morning. Frodo's depot will be pretty much gone for now, so whatever dose you pick you'll have to wait for him to get the depot back. You could always try 1/2 of his previous dose (3.5U) or 1.75U and see how that goes for a couple of days, to make sure he's eating.
