Yesterday

Today is shaping up to look a lot like yesterday (and the day before that...). Gotta love consistency when it means green numbers! I guess Harvey is trying to make up for all the time he took off from his deputy LagoonMeister duties by pulling double shifts every day. Fine by me. Keeps him out of trouble - mostly.

He ate his t/f/s meal this morning but didn't want breakfast. I gave him the Ond & Cypro, but he still wasn't eating 90 minutes later. I was considering Cerenia and another 1/4 tablet of Cypro when he finally went over and started nibbling a little (on the second flavor I offered - still hasn't touched the first). He otherwise seems fine - getting up and down from the chair and up and down the stairs. Just not hungry. Still might give the Cerenia.

Day 20 of the Challenge - 10 to go! I had to make another batch of clarified butter last night - we use it so much. Haven't decided what I will try adding back into the diet first, but I am leaning toward wine! We have so much and it needs to be consumed!

I was watching the Xfinity race and my TV suddenly went "off". It's like it lost power. The satellite box is still on, but another component is off. I think the backup power unit the TV is plugged into bit the dust. It's been making strange noises lately. I'll have to wait for DH to get home to look into it. There are 80 million cords back there and I have no idea what goes to which unit. I don't want to mess with the wrong one!

I need to get moving and get the boxes scooped. Dinner and cards tonight in Sac. Hope Harvey cooperates! Temps in the 100s here already, but not as bad as AZ - they're in the teens! Don't miss that at all!
We are thinking of Lydia and her family today. Fly free, sweet Rosie, and land softly.

Finally eating. I had boiled chicken for lunch and he was all over me! Gave him a couple of small pieces and some broth - he mostly just drank the broth. He's eating his food now.

Mark got home and found that the backup power unit's switch wasn't all the way on. The battery had drained and it finally gave out. It's back on now and the battery is charging.

Looks like China and Harvey are sticking pretty close to each other today....Probably reminiscing about all the fun (and trouble) they got into with our dear Rosie.

Glad to hear Harvey ate better for you this afternoon! Maybe you should check to see if his "appy button" is stuck between "off" and "on"?....LOL

Impressive surfing going on here. Boiled turkey/baked chicken w/broth are a hit here too. OK as a snack but not the main meal. Whatever it takes to get the appy going. It's like it needs a little charging too.

Harvey mostly drinks the broth and licks at the chicken until he licks it over the edge of the dish! Sometime this afternoon he went back and ate the bits. I tried using bits of chicken as treats for him, but he was never interested. I mostly give it when he isn't eating anything - I figure if he at least drinks the juice he's getting some nutrients.

When we got back from Sac tonight, Harvey had eaten about 1/2 of his dinner, and a little from each of the sections of his feeder. Not nearly as much as I would like. I suspect he surfed blue all night, which is fine with me! He just now got up to have a few more bites. I don't want to give him tummy meds this late and totally mess up his schedule, so I'll wait till morning. I probably won't pull the leftover food when I go to bed shortly, so his AMPS may be food influenced.
