After 1 1/2 days of lovely numbers Tuxie finally had "The Bounce" Although it was expected it was still very disappointing to see how high he bounced. Hoping that Tuxie can break this bounce quickly. I wish there was some way to stop the bouncing from going up so much :(

That's all I keep saying, practically every day!!!

Even when you are expecting the bounce it is always a real let down when you see how high it goes. And Tuxie can take 3 or more days to settle in from his bounces. Sigh...at least I had those nice numbers for a little bit

I think that's an awesome sign that he stayed in the blue for so long yesterday. Hopefully that means he is getting closer. Hate that he bounced so high. :arghh:

I was pretty excited to see that long a run of good numbers, which makes the red bounce seem all the worse. Tuxie has shown me that he can do good runs so I hope he decided to get back on board soon.

For awhile earlier I thought Tuxie might clear his bounce, but his PM numbers are showing that he is definitely not done bouncing. Maybe tomorrow will bring better numbers.

Come on Tuxie... Get those numbers down baby!
If I can ask a stupid question, what exactly causes a bounce and exactly how often does this seem to happen?
Hoping Tuxie feels better real soon :bighug:

With my Tuxie if he hits lower numbers, especially in the green range, he tends to bounce back up to higher numbers shortly afterwards. Because Tuxie's body has gotten used to be in the higher range his body sees the lower numbers as a crisis and pumps out stored glucose to raise the numbers back to what it thinks is "normal". Hopefully over time Tuxie will get used to being in lower numbers and will not bounce as much or as high. "The Bounce" is unpredictable and very frustrating and basically everyone will experience it at some point. I am sure others can explain it better but that is just a snapshot explanation.

Thank you for the explication, I completely understand and wish Tuxie back into the green soon... Will keep following for updates. HUGS!!

I'm glad it made sense. I know what is happening but I am not always the best at explaining it. Tuxie seems to have gotten over his bounce today and has hit green again. BUT, because it was a steeper drop than Tuxie handles well, I am expecting another bounce sometime in the next 24 hours. Hopefully it will be a shorter lower bounce. Bouncing is Tuxie's favourite activity. ;)
