Hopefully today is our last day wondering how much the meat popsicle influenced Perry's AMPS. Amazon says the automatic feeder arrives today! Getting out for a trail run now. Gorgeous cool morning here, the heat wave has moved on.

Hope all the kitties and humans have a good one today :)

Oh Perry, red just isn't a good colour for an orange kitty! How about some blue today?

I suspect he'll at least come down into the yellows. He's been hanging out in lower numbers mid-cycle lately.

Perry, please get off the trampoline and tell Phoebe Squeak to come with you. Hope you all enjoy your day. Glad the heat wave moved on. Ours is supposed to leave tomorrow.

Perry is staying high in solidarity with PS, I think. We're in the yellow now at 294 at +6. I'd love to see both our kitties drop lower!

Nice nadir for Jerry today - not all nadirs have to be a perfect 80.

"heat wave" in Austin, TX is:
typical July = 95-100 = we are hot and baking
heat wave = 100-105 = we are still hot and baking

A while, because we had food issues that led to digestion issues. He went on Purina DM savory (which is 10% carb, so really too high) on June 12 just to get him eating the same food really consistently AND pooping consistently. Meanwhile, we were learning to dose consistently and had some fur shots sending him sky high. It was all kind of awful and scary. But we have been weaning him off the DM and onto a 6% ProPlan. I think that's what finally brought us to where we are now -- hopefully starting to get him fine tuned in safe numbers and eating a proper LC food that he digests easily without GI problems. Really, fingers crossed here, because everything feels extremely day to day with this disease, and as they say, every cat is different.
