Hi Julie, I don't have a lot of experience, but I would try to get a few test in post +7, to see if sometime her nadir maybe late. My tends to have late nadir. Also I am pretty sure someone will ask you if you test for ketones, especially if Muffin is peeing a lot, especially since she does have some nice blues. the strips at the pharmacy for this should not be expensive. Licking her paw, sounds more like an allergy to me, but will see what others say.

@Wendy&Neko and @Bobbie And Bubba have given me great advice with my Kitty, hopefully they will be on a bit later. They are tons of experienced people, so hang in there someone will post soon

If you don't see green tonight, I would increase by 0.25u to 1.5 units tomorrow. The nadirs are coming down on this dose. I see some low blue in there. But green is the goal. I also like Nat's suggestion of getting some random tests during the latter part of the cycle. Think of the spreadsheet like a crosswork puzzle. You want to fill in any gaps or white spaces.

I haven't heard of the biting being something typical. Any chance there is a food allergy to something she is eating? As for the peeing, that should go down as she gets in better numbers. Has she had a complete senior blood panel lately?

She just hit green at +6. Going to give her a little LC food. Or should we try MC food? We did not test after AMPS. Trying to give her a break. We will do different random tests to fill in some of the gaps as time goes by. Her last panel was when she was diagnosed on June 1. How often do you recommended blood tests? Not sure about food allergies. We have ketone strips but have never used. Not sure she will pee in an empty litter box. Most likely she will use her bed. We are feeding different LC food to keep her interested. Thanks to you both for answering.

How about a little LC good to see if she will surf. No increase tomorrow! I would test again in 1/2 hour.

It would help if you kept you subject line updated with the latest numbers so people can see ata a glance what is happening.

That blood test is recent enough. Did the vet mention any issues besides diabetes? I did bloodwork at least every six months.

we had fed a little lc after +6 and at +7...back to blue. That's quite a swing in an hour. No other issues but diabetes.
