Looking good

Nadirs are not static, they can and do move around. Also Lev nadirs can show up late.
Oh so this is all ok?? I was told the nadirs move around but this is all so very interesting and different than prozinc. I feel like I'm starting all over learning how insulin works:bookworm:
Thanks Sandy..I feel better. Was about to cry

Hang in there! Beenie is still doing really well. :) I had to learn a lot about how Teasel and Lantus get along. It's taken me over 6 months to get there. ;)

Glad you got sleep last night. Take it when you can. Nice recovery from the mini bounce.

I felt like a newbie all over just switching from Lantus to Lev. And Beenie's body has o learn how to work the new insulin. You'll get there.

Thanks Wendy! So there was that much a difference when you switched from Lantus to Lev?!?

I noticed when she was in the yellows she seemed more perky. When we're in the blues she seems blah. Do you think that it is also her body getting used to these numbers and the insulin itself? She just sleeps or lays in her favorite cardboard box majority of the time.
I have it in the kitchen because she likes being close to the automatic feeder. I think it kind of makes her a little nuts knowing there is food in there. Once it starts defrosting she smells it. I hope I'm not torturing her:(
She is still food obsessed. I will say she's always been but now its worse.

Got another nice blue 137 +7.5

It takes them a while to get used to lower numbers. Neko hid under the bed at her first greens. And howled for food at her first low blues. She felt good and playful in low pinks. So much so I could guess when she was there cause she would play with her toys. Thankfully over time that changed to low blues. Beenie's body is just adjusting to what we hope will be the new normal.

The biggest change for me from Lantus to Lev was not knowing Neko's patterns anymore. I had to learn offset, nadir and duration all over again. The wandering nadir didn't help. It took a while to figure out when I had to test and when I didn't need to.

Ok so I'm not crazy. I thought I would see a change when she hit blues. We only hit it twice, that I know of, on ProZinc. Come to think of it when she first started hitting yellows she wasn't more active or "purry". It wasn't until later, after getting yellows for while, that I saw a difference.

I'm so glad I asked the question!! Thanks Wendy:)

You're welcome. I remember being thrilled when Neko started playing in blues instead of pinks. Beenie is getting a good dose of blues, hopefully it'll help the transition.

110 +9.5
Our lowest blue yet!!
My plan was to be home all weekend to monitor Beenie during her first 6 cycles on Lev. So you'll be hearing from me alot :p
It's FD bonanza for me this weekend!! I'm reading and re-reading stickies!!:bookworm:

If it weren't for this insight I'd probably be in a panic. Beenie is upstairs under the second bedroom futon. She's hiding. I've gone up to check on her and she's wide awake. So not like her. Since the Dx and months leading up to it she would always stay in the kitchen. She would venture upstairs to check out the other civvies food bowls (all feeder are in different rooms) and then come back down shortly after to her regular spot. The 'ol Beenie would be everywhere, a crazy little girl :cat:
So I wanted to get a +2 but I also don't want to force her downstairs if she needs to veg and adjust to the new feeling of lower numbers. Or should I force her out and test?

I used to pick Marvin up, hug him, kiss him and bring him to the kitchen counter for his tests. It didn't really bother him. Well the test did, but not being moved, once test was done he was back to his normal self.... especially if I gave him his treat....

I wouldn't worry about a +2. Beenie has been pretty consistent with rising numbers up until +4 or +5. She is rising right now even if it is only slowly. If you are concerned you could do a +3, but the +2 readings so far show a higher number. It is your choice though...that is just my thought.

Beenie is doing wonderful!!
