Well, I guess Capone wanted to make it crystal-clear that he is not diabetic and that his higher number yesterday was just due to vetty stress. It's just so weird that 32 would be "normal" for a non-diabetic cat. Or at least he is acting totally fine, had a great appetite and is showing no signs of dangerously low blood sugar.I couldn't help but panic for a second though when I saw that 32.

Luckily, Mandarin and Walter are in perfectly safe numbers. Very nice to see both of them doing so well - if they could keep this up, I would be one happy bean. Sleep-deprived, but happy.

IDk, 32 is a bit lowo_O I've seen kitties in their OTJ trial in the lower 40's and maybe a few who registered in the 30's. If he had anesthesia sometimes that can lower their BS too. Since no insulin guess there is no worry. Both your boys are really working the juice nicely. Glad you're off for a while longer and hope they don't keep you up too much and you can get some rest.

Yowza Capone....message received! As others said, it may be the anesthesia....curious to see where he is once it's really totally out of his system. In the meantime, speedy recover vines for him!

Nice start for the official FD kitties there...work it, boys!

It's been a beach and lagoon day for both boys. :D:cat::cool: I just hung out at home, did some yard work, mowed the lawn and cleaned out the garage while the pups got to enjoy the nice weather in the yard. In short, it was a productive day and I didn't even have to leave the house.

I also checked Capone's BG again and he is up to 54 - maybe it really was the anesthesia. He seems to be feeling well, but he HATES his meds. ...and he is generally the most agreeable cat and even enjoys going to the vet. Maybe he figured that someone needs to misbehave since Walter and Mandarin are both model patients today.

What a busy day you have had....makes me look positively lazy!
Am glad Mandarin and Walter were model patients today and Capone's BS has risen slightly...although I remember when Sheba was OTJ for almost three years she often had low BS.
