I gave Mochi a .25 U dose this morning. These new needles are extremely short (6mm) and with these tiny doses I'm having a difficult time feeling them go in. I suspected a fur shot yesterday, but his numbers went down so it must have gone in. Today, with the even smaller dose, it felt like the plunger didn't move at all.
Again, according to vet I should not have shot anything (as he's under 200). Honestly, this makes me a bit nervous, being new with the cat & vet(s) and all. I'm not good with conflict. But I also want what's best for Mochi and I'm hoping they'll recognize that fact when I call with an update tomorrow.
The good news is that all his P's were in place yesterday (second day in a row). Honestly, this is the first time since we brought him home 3 weeks ago that he's actually played! Previously he would just lie there and bat at the toy if you brought it to him. Yesterday he was actually getting up and sprinting after it, stalking and pouncing. He's still a lazy hunter, but at least he's acting like a cat!
I have to drive my son back to college this afternoon, so I won't be able to test for several hours. I moved his shot an hour earlier so I could get a +2 & +4 before I leave. I'll test when I get back home too, but I'm not sure exactly when that will be.
