To recap yesterday - Had a bit of a non-symptomatic hypo yesterday - BS 37. Reduced last night to 1.25u.

Previous lowest-shot was 119 two nights ago. I can't decide if I should stall or just shoot the 1.25u. 99 is awfully close to the 100 I said I'd be comfortable with ;) and I'm home all day today.

I was told that a hypo does not equal "low numbers" in 30's and 40's. A hypo is when the cat is obviously not doing well.

Remember the meter has 20% variance so that could also be 119. I'd shoot since he is responding very well now. Do you know he will eat well for sure?

If you are worried, you can stall 20 minutes without feeding and see what number you get when you test again.

Well, he's never NOT eaten ;) He's dedicated to his food bowl, and I thank my lucky stars he's the food-oriented cat, as the other one would have been so hard to get ear pokes with as he's not a treat-lover!

    Thanks for the clarification!

This sounds like my Rex. At diagnosis, I had 4 cats and I told my DH if I had to choose which one to get FD, I'd have chosen Rex. :D

I shot ;) He finally convinced me, as he was standing on the child's Lego shelf, glaring at me, and knocking Lego onto the floor piece by piece hahahah

Thoughts on when to test today? Looking at yesterday, I kind of want to do 4/6/8.

Since this is your lowest (and first green), I'd test at +1 and +2 to see if you need to intervene.

I would start with a +1 and a +2 since this is your first green you have shot. And then go from there. And, speaking of first green, you have earned the much coveted Balls of Steel award that I would like to present to you on behalf of the L , B & B forum.

I legit laughed out loud at the balls of steel award! That is cracking me up.

I'll grab the +1 and +2, the reasoning makes sense to me, thanks you two!

Good job Leah! The first few times shooting low numbers is really scary, but you will get used to it and learn what he does when you shoot low. They usually have a nice flat cycle when you shoot low.

You can make a copy of this one and save it to a word doc. I have all the cute cartoons saved that I copy from.

Heck yes! I'm technically home all day today, although I'd LIKE to go to the gym at +5. We'll see if that's an option with his BS though ;)

He is playing up a storm today! I think our civvie doesn't know what hit him haha!

I ought to check the LB, cause holy cow, he just dropped a load and it's toxic smelling. No puke though, today!

    Tested at +4.5 - 123. I think I can leave him for a couple hours now and I won't be worried ;)

Cameron gave you a "permission slip" to exit the building. Otherwise known as a tiny bounce from yesterday's hijinks.

Good luck with the new dose.
