Well Luci is certainly going in the wrong direction this morning! She obviously needed to visit the higher part of the lemon tree .... hopefully she'll reverse course and will head back down to the lagoon today.

Mom's dental appointment went smoothly yesterday - no issues or concerns. Mom's dementia seems worse - she's only focused on the negative. It was a beautiful day and I took her out to lunch afterwards and all she could think about was everything that she doesn't like; the home she stays in, the people there, the food...repeat. Repeat. Repeat. I pointed out how much better this place is than the last one, better care, better food...none of that mattered...oh well...it's exhausting spending several hours with so much negativity and a big bill from the dentist office on top of it all!

Oh well...at least Luci had a good day in the lagoon yesterday!

First time we've had to turn on our furnace - it was 47 outside...and only 66 inside...a bit chilly for Luci and me

Hope all of your kitties will surf safely today. Happy Friday everyone!

Luci and her lemon tree:eek: come on down from there, we all know u like high places
Good update on moms teeth
So sorry about the dementia, it’s sad
Happy Friday Sue, whooo hoo we get next 2 days off!

It's almost beach time Luci, time to let go of the trees!
Sorry to hear about your Mom, I went through the same thing with my Dad, it's not easy. Hugs to you for being such a great daughter.
Have a great day and hope you and Luci stay warm! :bighug:

I understand you so much with your mom, I'm going through the exact same thing with my uncle... !! Very exhausting..
Luci starts her morning with a little lemonade full of vitamin C and then the lagoon for the rest of the day !:D What a life !!
Cool at your place... ! Going South soon ?
Have a great day Sue!

Luci is looking pretty in green today:). LT dipped his toes into the lagoon and then decided to hit the beach to work on his tan. Maybe Luci can give him a shout out to lure him back in.

I'm sorry about what you are going through with your mom. Dementia steals them away from you in the worst way - it takes away who they have always been. It seems the older we get, the more dementia/alzheimers we see around us; seems so many families touched by it. We'll be praying for you as you walk this path with your mom.

I certainly sympathize with you, taking care of your mom. My mother didn't have Dementia but she was very difficult. Sounds like what you said. Nothing pleased her. I used to spend all day at the nursing home
(she was there for several weeks for rehab) When I was ready to leave (after 8 hours) she'd get angry & tell me I didn't care about her!!:arghh:

Did you ever try playing music for your mom? I read that playing music from when they were young (like 18 to 20's) made people with Dementia calm & Happy!
Here's an article about music for Dementia: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5682575/

You are definitely a great daughter, even though it’s negative energy from her, I’m sure you helped her out with your positive energy!

Have a great day Sue :)
