Hi guys! I think I have the format correct for my post.
Previously....
Starbuck reacted so well when I completed the switch from dry to canned food that her starting dosage of 2 units lantus is now too high. I am intending to follow SLGS. Soooo here's my question. You can clearly see on the chart she jumped down into green the same day I switched the food. I understand on the protocol you're supposed to earn a reduction when she gets into green. But the last 3 nights she hasn't come up again before the PM shot, and I'm afraid to shoot the blue ones, seeing as I'm so new. So I gave nothing, but that's not a long term solution because she pops right back up into high numbers in the morning. Last night you can see I gave a bitty dose, figuring it was better than nothing three nights in a row.
So what I'm asking is, if this pattern of me having to keep skipping shots continues, should I be taking a reduction, even though it's not on the protocol? I'm sure it's much better for her to have two smaller shots rather than shot-skip-shot-skip.
Edited to add that I work from home, so I'm not scared to shoot at lower numbers during the DAY. It's just they're all at night.
