Good Morning L & L ~

Well, mystery solved as to why Bubba has been throwing up and the diarrhea he had earlier this month. He has tapeworms again! He threw up breakfast with a 6 " tapeworm in it and it was still alive! He came up from the basement and woke me up ( I had gone BTB) and was so insistent , biting my clothes and crying. Got up to test him and he was the same at +2 and I thought I should go investigate in the basement to see if he had any vomit, and sure enough..........

He has a stool sample done around the 20th of August. Nothing showed........ So much for the natural dewormer. He wasn't due for another preventive dose until October 4th. We need the big guns for this.

That's my fun for Sunday morning. Hope all Beans and Kitties are good and vines for those in need.

Well at least you know the big guns are in order now. Poor Bubba

Oh I bet yours beats a little old 6 " tapeworm, LOL

I can't stand parasites of any kind. They completely gross me out and make my skin crawl. There is a show call "Monsters inside me" or something like that. Nope. Not doing it. No way. Any thing that uses me for food - heck no. Fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, tape worms - just NO. LOL

Were you giving the aloe for the diarrhea? Is it good for constipation? I got my bottle today and am going to try and give it tonight but I need something to easy his constipation. How much to you give?

The aloe mixed with SEB helps nausea as per Caroline from FoodfurLife. ( 1/2 tsp of aloe juice mixed with 1/4 tsp of SEB) BUT, it is also great for constipation and helping to heal the gut. One website said for small dogs and cats can have a Tbsp a day. I started with a tsp twice a day and increased to 1/2 tbsp twice a day. Totally undetectable in the food. Taste like water. Some animals can get diarrhea if they have a sensitivity to it. But, I have read that George's takes out all the bitter stuff like latex that can cause diarrhea.

That is truly yucky :woot:, but happy that you have the mystery solved! Any idea from where? Maybe one of his mouse hunting expeditions?!
Most likely from an ingested rodent or when he had lots of fleas on him back in early July and he could have ingested flea. The downside of having a cat go outside.......

My Tiffany had worms a few months after I got her likely from fleas and I found out when I saw a live one too! Yuck is right.! Glad the mystery is solved and will be easily fixed.

Oh my goodness! Poor Bubba. What is the medicine for that? Did you receive the Egg Yolk yet?
It's Drontal pills 2 for each cat and 3 weeks later 2 more. There is a topical called Profender that can be used between the shoulder blades like topical flea meds like Frontline and Revolution and only one application needed but, I read a lot of bad reviews on it, burning the skin and them losing hair in huge bald spots and limp less cats that froth of the mouth.....no thanks. I give Bubba's insulin between his shoulder blades and couldn't risk him being out of commission. Got it into them, crushed and into some baby food. Each of them left some so, I had to syringe it into them following it with some water. Not before I had some splattered onto my face and glasses.

I started the Egg Yolk on Friday evening. After tomorrow, the worms should be eradicated and I will be interested to see how well the Egg Yolk works. So many issues at once going on with the Bubster.
