The boys are doing fine! But this little stinker Sly was being stubborn at the shelter and refusing to stop eating junky food. He caught Feline Herpes at the pound and got really sick with that so that didn't help. After 2 months, spotting hard food in his kennel, and hearing he's still hitting 400s, we decided that even though we have a houseful and tax season isn't over so I am still incredible busy, it was time to see what we could do for him at home.
We got him into foster just in time because that goofy vet (yet another new one!) was putting him on an uneven dose 3U/2U.
The good news is that I had put a couple handlefuls of EVO dry into the bowl and went to get the junk he was eating to mix with it and when I came back he was snarfing the last of the EVO down. So at least we can get him to a better dry (if that exists :) ) Then I sprinkled some Stella&Chewy's and a few pieces of EVO on a can of Wellness and he eventually went after that! So food transition may not be as hard as imagined.
The bad news is that with the restrictions on the signature lines, I am going to have set up a new profile for him or delete one of my kids :(.
This was his picture at intake. He wouldn't take his head out of the food dish when I dropped him off at home. Yes, he is a munchkin! Stinkin' adorable!!

I have heard that you can try to put a bunch of links in one file and then just have one link to that file. I don't know if it works.
 
I moved info into my Profile for access. Sucks you can't have more than 3 links though, it would be nice to leave spreadsheets for easier reference.

I hate to move him to new food cold turkey, but he's already eaten about 2/3 cup of EVO and 5-6oz of Wellness tonight. That is a lot of food for one evening. I also hate to put junky food back in when I see the numbers going in the right direction when its gone! The "curve" I saw the vet do looked like a V so I like seeing a drop into the evening shot:)
