It's one year ago today that Felix came home from the hospital after his bout with DKA and his diabetes diagnosis.

I'm discouraged that he hasn't become regulated. But when I consider his condition--he's plump (but not obese nor bony as in the past), his hair is soft and he grooms it himself, he's learned to eat canned food at least most of the time--things seem pretty good. And, most important, we get to snuggle every day: he loves kisses!:cat::kiss:

Thank you, everyone, who has helped him to feel as happy as he is today, and thank you all who have cheered me along the way. And a special thank you to those who have reached the saddest part of their journeys with their sugarkitties and who have shared their experience, love, and knowledge with the rest of us. :bighug:

Momma is getting weepy now, but I'm feeline fine! Thanks everybody, kitties, momma-beans, and paw-beans!
Bounce on,
Felix:cat:

The first year is the hardest but now you've got that behind you!!

Can you remember when you first started? Just think how far both you and Felix have come!

Chris is right. It often makes for amusing reading if you take a look at a your first posts here. Making that first year is huge, especially given that you had to battle DKA at the start. Good job Susan! :bighug: Happy Annifursary Felix.

It took Neko a year to ditch the reds. I thought she's never get regulated, but she did mostly, in her own sweet time. :cat:
