This is only my experience and do not endorse anyone to copy it.ECID(every cat is different)Taco has been on insulin for over 2 years and I know what he does best.

So Taco is learning how to swim, he has his life jacket on and he seems to like it, but is keeping us on our toes and swimming along side of him is very tiring , but we keep treading .

A few days back,in fact the night I asked about shooting areas and the lump(s) Taco gets where we shot,I decided to stop using those spots. The lumps go away, which is great, but, his insulin must not absorb as it should, using the same spot for weeks.

So I decided to give him a scruff shot, I had not used that area in months, and the next morning Taco was not shootable. I waited 3 hours until I felt it was safe to shoot. That day proceeding his 3U scruff shot he decided to start his day off with a 58, and asked for help, but time passed and I knew I had to do something,so I chose to feed as Taco does not stop dropping without help.

The day ended up being the best day in 2 years.I decided to give him a .50 reduction instead of .25.

Yesterday, Taco, thought that was kind of fun and decided to throw us a 51 at AMPS, again I rinsed and repeated with feeding him and waiting 2 hours to shoot, the same 2.50, which at that time he had legitimately earned.

He bounced around a little, cause you know Taco loves those pinks :) He just can't help himself ;)
Today he's liking his blues, he's being watched VERY closely as I believe he might want to go over to those greens and he may not be able to keep that life jacket on. So we're making sure he's buckled up good and won't slip out of it.
I'm still wondering if the new shoot spot(s) have anything to do with this very sudden change, but, I guess I'll never know, it would be a nice remedy to his outrageous numbers and if he's thrown up the white flag , that would be nice too.
I know everything can change very quickly, but, with exhaustion we are enjoying this ride.

I did not have the time to update his SS in the last 2 days, but, it is done to the best of my ability.

We have changed our time to 1A & 1P, and trying to get back to it, taking the steps we need to get there.
We will have to see what the next few days bring. Up or down we are very committed to Taco and will do what we have to do to keep him safe and on his way to his diabetes being better controlled.

Interesting experiment with the new shot locations. Maybe you are into something.

Maybe it’s just me, but I am having a bit of difficulty figuring out the times of the tests/shots the last couple days with the NA in the units cell. I like the way you did it on the 13th AM cycle to show the delays. When you move the shot amount to a different cell, then the tests at the same + times no longer line up from day to day.

Yes! I understand that you may be confused trying to figure things out, but, Taco had 2 time changes, for now this is the only way that I can make sense of my SS. When we get back to 1A 1P , you will be able to figure it out. Right now it needs to stay as is. Hope you understand :)
