help kind friends, being bombarded with conflicting advise from vets and shouted at by friends and cat... !
I’ve taken on board all the wealth of information here re wet/raw food and it’s taken me weeks to persuade Mum to eat a couple of meals made up of a mixture of 3 types of mince (beef, turkey and pork) all lean fat with supplements and some wild Salmon oil.
Mum who’s very overweight continues to demand some dry food and I do give it in much reduced quantity
In between the main meals. On recommendation I now give Thrive dry food which is supposedly the lowest in carbs in the uk.
Mum however has gained weight and I’m desperately upset about it. The vet thinks I should stick to the dry “diabetic’ food which they claim is like giving ‘medicine’ Friends who see how stressed I’ve become say the same...
her levels are not too bad but the weight is really an issue...
Where am I going wrong...?
