I will wait and see what she does with the actual new pen before deciding to increase. She had a good night but woke me up at 4, I gave her a teaspoon of food and she slept peacefully after that. I did not test, though.

No, nothing! I walked into a CVS pharmacy and asked with my paper prescription (I wanted to compare prices so i asked my vet for paper rather than sending to one), and she told me the price for Lantus. I've heard prices went down but I was not expecting it was by so much. How much is it in India? I think it's even less than that in France, we have friends who visited the US a few years ago, their 10-year-old son is diabetic, his insulin was stolen from the fridge in their hotel room. My husband called a prescription to a pharmacy close to where they were staying and they had to pay $300 for 3 pens. They were very shocked since in France it's around 8-10 euros, I think, and completely paid for by insurance.

The prices where I am have dropped pretty drastically for Lantus - I need to head to my local walmart to grab one I ordered, and it's less than $20. For actual Lantus. The generic glargine was more expensive the last time I bought it and the lantus has dropped twice since then.

@Alicia & Kit cat I guess the same happened here! That was a good surprise for sure. I switched because I did not want to keep ordering from Chewy and having to recycle the cold packs. Their price is still above $100 for one pen

I've never heard it either! So funny. It offsets the I feel from reading about your friends' son's insulin being stolen from a hotel fridge. What a spectacularly crappy thing for someone to do.

Wow that's really expensive. here it costs 20. I paid 65 for a vile at the clinic where Fistuk was hospitalised. They were the one who gave us Lantus for the first time so I had no idea what the price is until I ordered one from the vet and paid only 20!
