Day 4 OTJ Trial

spotcheck (I'll tell ya why below)
+83 (+9) BG 3.7 (66) MM snack

AMBG 6am
BG 3.8 (68) fed MM

WCR: Holy loonyness! Lowest AM or PM BG yet on trial. nailbite_smile
Found Luna fast asleep in his basket since last nite's last update.
His MM snack bowl wiped clean, I know he grazed it cuz I was up til 4am doing nothing lol and he was grazing then too.
This morning, still grazing each MM, playing, grooming, and a Magical Poop to boot.

One of my favourite spotchecks is the +9, in the AM and PM cycles.
When he was on insulin, it gave me an idea of how his pancreass is doing near the end of the cycle when insulin is wearing out.
Now on trial, it really highlites for me that yes - Mr Pancreass is working. Working it's pancreass butt off! :lol: Get it? lol

It's probably a sign from the Angels ;-) but this morning I spilled my ~O) and -- MY METER!!!!!
Who cares about the printer as coffee forms around my precious meter!
It's all good now, wiped dry vigorously I might add. :lol:

Do you have a back up meter just in case? (yeah screw the printer....as long as the meter is okay) :roll: :lol:

Just think: he got this all on his own with no zero doses of insulin! LOL and there's nothing that you have to DO
about it...just sit and watch!!!

LOL! Well ha-ha-ha I guess I asked for that one.

I have two back up meters, but no strips, thank goodness eh?
lol And no it's not around my neck!! (just in my pocket sometimes)

Ha ha to the meter. Good thing back up isn't too far away - here in NJ - look I'm holding it up - do you see it. All nice and purple like! ha ha hahahaha

So how is Luna holding up? I wonder how he must be thinking - where's the poking? Where's my shots? What's going on here?

I am thinking he must be laying low, hoping his good luck holds up and he can sleep longer than an hour without being woken for poking.

Very lovely number there, Luna; good job!

I was wondering when MJ would post...that cat looks so much like Luna!! WOW!!!

I have a Luna update and it's not good lol aw crap!!!!! crap crap!!

Lunchtime came around, so he gets this little wee snack, and he pukes. grumpy_cat
Progress of such a nice start to the day - out the window, I was suppose to go grocery shop, but we're going
later this afternoon instead.
Since +6 (+90) he's refused to eat, and prefers to walk around following me.

So I tested him at +7.5 (+91.5) :o BG 8.4 (151) which is understandable.

Just now tempted him with chicken dust over a 1/2 tsp of food, worked a little bit he ate most of it....it's been almost 3 hours since he ate that lunch time snack

He is due for his +9 (+93) MM snack soon and I'm not sure what will happen.
If he doesn't eat he will climb as he may need a bit more time to get over whatever is up his butt.
Speaking of butts....I hear a Magical Poop....yup that's a stinky one!
Along with the stinky spotcheck earlier. Blah!!


PS: Hillary, I was wondering what that shiny purple glow was across the lake,
cuz u you know I can see New Jersey from my balcony :lol:

offered Mini Meal snack with chicken dust, only interested in the dust which he licked off my fingers, at least there's some interest.

Luna typically goes half a day like this after feeling yucky, so it may not be til his dinner time (PMBG) when he may actually eat. In the meantime, gimme some juice!!! Where's the crying smiley emotion? I want some juice!!

My best guess, is we wait it out and suck it up as a glitch in the system pc_work
 
as discouraging as this might be... i agree with you. let's not react too quickly.
luna has a way of bringing himself down quite nicely...

+94 (+10) When in doubt, open a fresh can, so I did, a can of turkey flavour instead.

Offered Luna a bit of the broth with a little food mixed in, he scooped that puppy up!
Then I had Shawn offer him a tsp - who knows maybe Luna's sick of me by now lol!
Yup, Luna decides he wants to eat now, then we went for another teaspoon, ate most of it. Good enough that's all I wanted!

Luna is currently in the closet sleeping in my dirty clothes hamper.

Paws crossed that it's enough time to let the food settle by PMBG time.
 
There may be a few bumps in the road, Ronnie, but Luna will probably just walk right over them. :-D He is a very special kitty and I have a feeling that he knows it. ;-)

WCR: Bit hard to test him in the closet, but got a good size blood amount. Came around for dinner, gave him 1 tsp at a time. Doesn't look out of it anymore, alert and walking around.

I'm apprehensive, will monitor and believe it or not, am low on test strips anyways :lol: so unless he does some crazy crap tonight then I'll test.

Have a glass of wine and settle in for a nice cozy Saturday night.
Luna is looking for attention from you.
You think he would let your "OTJ" (okays his) trial go without any excitement.
Not a chance. lol.
