Charlies's AMPS is only 52 I am not going to give him his insulin this morning. I will not be home all day to keep an eye on him. I will be able to pop in to feed him and check on him but won't be able to stay with him. Today is day 8 of all green!:D

Ok Thank you. His sugar is up now to 86 which makes me feel better about not being home all day.

wondering if its possible that he went lower than 50 in the latter half of yesterday's PM cycle.

next time, you get a low number like this, stall without feeding and test in 20 mins to see if he is headed up. if he is, you should be able to shoot.

If he is lower and you cannot monitor, you would not shoot. Only if he is headed higher. :)
Let's see how this cycle plays out and Elise will let you know about the drop dose.

I know!! :woot: I am so proud of him. :cat: He came off kibble to all wet, taking his shots and the pricks to his ears so well. It is alot to take in and he handled it all without a scratch or a bite to me at all. Not that he normally would but with all that I thought he might get a little cranky.

When you can grab a test at +3-4. If he drops under 50 he’s done with insulin. Otherwise it’s the drop for 4 more days. Soooo close!
