I gave her couple tsps 15% - hope it was the right decision, such a steep drop, ate half.

Looks like you stopped her from dropping further. I'd hold off on MC if you can get another test in 30-45 but would leave some LC for her. This is what I would do but we can see what Elise says when she comes back.

 

That’s what I am doing. She just doesn’t want to eat. She ate some of the mc.

 

Oh Dolly. I know testing is challenging too, right. I hope she's going to surf for a while but I'd want a test 45 minutes later without giving MC to see.

She testing compliant 99% of the time. Not a problem. I will check her in about 15 minutes. She hasn’t had mc for an hour and a half.

 

I just gave her some fresh. Lc. Hopefully she will eat.

Nope. She had three bowls of different flavors this morning. Now I’ve started back to the first one, her favorite.

 

She dropped to 46, gave her some 21% FF Delights w/cheddar. Before that she finally ate her lc.


Ate the gravy. Put some karo on her mouth so she would lick it, she hates it and I just end up upsetting her.

 

I wonder if she decided to eat the LC because she felt she was going lower? I think that could be. At least then you know she will eat herself to a higher number.
Test 30 minutes after feeding the HC.

I'm curious...I noticed Dolly earns reductions like a newly diagnosed diabetic (1 drop <50) even though she has been diabetic for over a year. Why is this? Does it have to do with her having the long period of remission?

Yes, next injection needs to be reduced by .25.

 

I wonder if I should have repeated that low test, such a big jump in 1/2 an hour. I just never do anymore. I can’t go backwards so do we just accept it was right?

I wasn't surprised to see that 46 at all, personally, given what Dolly's ss has looked like lately. I'm new though so take my observations with an enormous grain of salt.

 

No, it’s not because of the long time in remission. It’s more because it’s been go hard to keep her up with her iffy appetite. It’s been especially hard in Adrienne at night. So far she’s holding the reductions. If she were to not hold them and/or start eating better it would be different.

 

If you think it might be a bad test strip which is possible, you can not take the reduction and let her earn it. What do you think?

 

She has dropped again - I just knew I had to test her, mothers intuition.

Yes. I would have fed her 10-12% and tested in 30. She should not need any more food until PMPS.

 

I need to give her a poke break till +8. I hope that is okay. She’s keeping her distance. She is such a trooper. Never would have thought this kitty would be so good.

There are days I test her 12, 13 times. I only have 250 right now. I get free shipping from Walmart for $35 +. 1-2 days. It makes me feel safe (about strips)

 

I used to buy test strips on eBay auctions at a really good price at times.

I had plans to sleep in but I knew Bandit would throw me a green AMPS because I decided to do that.

 

Why are these girls so onerous? Don’t know how to spell it. Difficult or evil. I need her to eat but she says “no”. Things like Bandit keeping you from a sleep in and Dolly not eating because it’s my dinner time and she won’t eat if I’m not there.

 

Because they are cats? And probably little sadists?
