2/10 Dillan Day 1 OTJ Trial AMBG 112 +5 67 PMBG 86

Hello everyone,
So the 112 is not a great start to the trial I know, but I think this might have been caused by his hairball that he had around an hour before we tested. Does anyone know how much the BG level raises during this time? Well the only way to see I guess is to wait until later to do his test. Other then the hairball this morning Dillan is acting good meowing like always for his morning feed :smile:

Are you able to test again at +3 or +4 to see if the food brought down his numbers?
The 112 is still within a good healing range, but you will see if the pancreas is kicking in
nicely if the number is lower after eating.. k?

OK I will try to get a test around then, I have to head to work so I will get Jodi to try

hairballs...those pesky little buggers...yup can raise BG and can lower them too ECID la-la-la-la-la :lol:
This is a good blue thou! And yup yup - a test 3 to 4 hours later will be one to get just to make sure things going well.

Stay on the LC, do what you have to do if he gets fussy about it, rotating flavours, topping with a bit of MC or HC...note in SS if u had to go MC or gravy...kitties are fussy - that's just their way or no way I'm not eating that again! :lol:

I hope it was the hairball :evil: Jill also told me that sometimes their numbers can be a little wobbly. ;-)

Hey everyone,
Woohoo the number is good so his body must be doing what its suppose to, plus probably a little help from the tent storage. But I'm happy we went down here :-D The hairball was a bad one, he actually woke me up from shaking the bed :o

Very nice start to the first day of OTJ Trial. Nice slide into the greens. Oh those pesky hairballs will undoubtably raise the BG. Max shoots right up when he decides to toss a hairball.

Yeah its the first one that I've notice him have since we've been monitoring BGs so I wasn't sure of the actual extent that it would raise BGs just that it would do it.
