Yesterday

Good morning!

Today will be Mally's first full day without insulin shots. I wasn't sure about the title of today's condo so hopefully I did it right.

WCR - She's doing great. She ate her breakfast and is just hanging out in front of the sliding glass door catching some rays of sun. Her AMBG was good this morning and I really don't know how much insulin she would have stored in her shed - if any - because of the tiny doses she was getting the past few days. Maybe someone with more experience can comment on that.

Glad you chose door number two last night! This is a great start for your first day of the OTJ trial. (One of the best I've seen recently.) Way to go Mally and Chris! Keep it up or I should say, keep it down. :lol:

Thank you, everyone!

Mally ate breakfast at 9:00 AM so I tested her three hours later to see what her numbers were like and she was at 65. She slept most of the morning, but that's her usual routine. :smile:

I did a test on her at +7 before I fed everyone and she was at 47. It leaves me wondering how long it takes for the shed to empty and if Mally even has any shed left because of the small doses she's been on lately.

Ok, can I say this... ? Hey, Mally you are really showing off!! Hahahaha!!
And Chris you are correct, some of this is reflecting the previous doses and shed, but not that much - this is just excellent!

Maybe Mally just needed things jump-started again. She did have a cortisone shot back at the end of September in 2009 and maybe that's what caused her diabetes. Plus, she was on dry food at the time with canned in the evenings. Now she and the other cats are fed strictly canned food and the only treats they get are the freeze dried chicken treats, which they love. :smile:
