Hooray Blue! Moses is coming down. I think he's finally coming off of that treat test 3 days ago... that must be the culprit. I was so mad yesterday, what an emotional roller-coaster! Thanks Lantus Land for being my constant companion through these ups and downs.

I'm thrilled Moses is blue tonight. And finally! I landed some Wellness treats and Moses' review is.... (drumroll) ........F

"It lacked the crunch texture I crave. At first I jumped on the table to whiff that intriguing scent. Then I gently pushed it out of her fingers to use her hand as a scratching post instead. I am no turkey for this jerky."
-Moses, quote from the Munchies for Crunchies Review, 2/7/10

I'm glad Moses has found his way back to blue.

I haven't tried the Wellness jerky treats yet. I tried some other treat that was that texture, and even Lucy wasn't impressed (she likes everything). Good luck finding something!

I have a civvie who doesn't like treats. He doesn't even like people food. Hmm, what he DOES like as a treat sometimes, believe it or not, is Carl Budding lunchmeat (turkey or ham). You know, the stuff that is incredibly cheap. As I said, he doesn't like people food so I'm a little too scared to eat it myself, since he must not think it is people food so I don't know what it really is.

I've been waiting for you to show up today...

Oh, and sadly, Moses teeth aren't so great, from how the vet described. The vet said Moses' had "necrotic breath" and a bit of tartar. And when I asked about the issues she said my priorities are:

1. Diabetes
2. Heart Arrhythmia
3. Cyst (under his right arm)

Erica, I think Dr. Dee just has an extrememly sensitive nose. She said the same thing about my Mika-Monster's breath! (and Mika is only 2 years old!).

I had no luck at PetCo or that awful Petland for treats. PetSmart sells freeze-dried salmon, cod, and shrimp which my kitties love. Boo never liked treats until I got her those. They also sell freeze dried chicken in the dog treat aisle that you could try, but I don't like it as much.

Ha! Good to hear from ya'll

Yes, Heather, it kinda freaked me out when Dr. Dee mentioned all that breath stuff. Hoping to check it out his mouth more thoroughly for surgery on that cyst, until she remembered about his arrhythmic heart and opted for no surgery.

Sadly, Moses haaaaates freeze dried stuff. And as we learned today, does not like jerky. Loves Greenies!

I do not like Petco anyways ("where the pets die"). Cat Connection had some great stuff, but expensive and a lot of freeze dried. I have some other sources.... squeem3 posted a great link. I'm a little weary about buying stuff online (ship to return) but I need to find him something.

Hope Ms. Boo is being a good girl. B/t/w I stabbed myself with lancet now. Not on purpose, saw the syringe lids and tiny plastics, went to grab a handful to throw away and clenched it in my hand. I was holding it all in my hand in a grip and walking around doing stuff when my hand felt this weird sharp burning pain. I opened it and saw the lancet stabbing through. yes, it hurt. who'll be next? :?
