@Wendy&Neko and everyone else would you all have any advice on insulin amount for Dak for his PM shot tonight?
We decided to go on vacation and have a pet sitter taking care of the pets, including Dak, and the pet sitter let us know this morning that his AMPS value was 188, the lowest he has been in a long time. The pet sitter did give Dak his full dose of 29 units and then checked him an hour later and his value went up to 225 (tracks as his numbers increase a little before dropping later in the day). We have asked our pet sitter to check him every 2 hours, to see what he will get to. Would you all recommend reducing his insulin amount at dinner tonight, or reduce it if he is at a certain value, BG wise for PMPS? He was extra wiggly for her and would not let the pet sitter re-test him before giving the insulin. She may have been 30 minutes to an hour late in giving his insulin also, due to sleeping in.
