Hello....so my baby apparently has the start of kidney issues. She's a smidge over the normal range on Creatinine. Is low phosphorous food the only thing to do at this point? Obviously she's diabetic, and also has early stages of Pancreatitis. I've found the list on a thread in here for low carb/low phosphorous food...just making sure that's the only thing to do right now. My vet mentioned a phosphorous binder down the road if that becomes necessary. She wanted me to try some low phosphorous food and redo bloodwork in a month (which is difficult because my cat is awful at vet and has to be sedated).
Her kidney results are below:
Creatinine 2.5 Normal range- 0.8 - 2.4 mg/dL H
BUN 35 Normal range- 16 - 36 mg/dL
BUN: Creatinine
Ratio: 14
Phosphorus 5.1 Normal range- 3.1 - 7.5 mg/dL
