That's not unusual for her numbers to be that much higher.....We call it a "bounce"
When our cats are first diagnosed as diabetic, most of them have been diabetic for a long time so their body has become used to living at higher blood glucose numbers. When we first start out and get their numbers to drop, their liver thinks there's a problem and releases stored sugar and hormones to bring them back up to where it's been "used to" living
As you get her into better numbers more and more, her body should re-learn that it's OK to be in those better numbers and stop reacting by bouncing so high.
It would be REALLY helpful if you'd go ahead and fill out your signature line and get our spreadsheet up to keep track of her numbers. We really depend on that spreadsheet to be able to give you the best advice possible.
On the signature, just find your sign on name at the top right and there's a drop down menu....choose "Signature".....A new box will pop up for you to put information like
Your name/cats name, age, sex, date of diagnosis, type of insulin, type of meter, type of food, any other health issues?, general location where you live (You'll see all this information directly below most of our comments).....that way we don't have to keep asking the same questions over and over again.
Here are Instructions on getting the FDMB spreadsheet

You would want to use the WORLD spreadsheet so you can enter the numbers like you read them. It will convert them automatically for those of us in the US
If you have ANY problems with the spreadsheet, please just let us know! You can send me a private message and I'd be happy to set it up for you if you can't!!
