For some reason my alarm didn't go off, thankfully Thomas woke me up walking around. A little low for PS. Should I stall or skip?

Under normal circumstances I would say shoot, but with everything going on it might be best to skip and give you both a break.
Yes, that was my same thought. It's coming on 15 minutes so I'll check and see if he's rising at all. I'll skip if he's not in the 70s because every time he's in the 60s he tends to want to float there the whole time or drop and I'd rather not deal with any 40s or even lower that I have to babysit the entire day trying to bring up.

Rose to 72, considering shooting now but unsure. Maybe I'll give a little HC with his breakfast to boost him up since he's been low early on in his cycle lately.

I waited and tested again after 10 minutes, 79. Shot a little late but oh well. He ate half his food, he'll probably come back for more later. I'll grab a +1 or +2 to see how he's doing.

He's still eating alright. Still floating in the 60s as usual. Stomach is still swollen and hard, still no poop. I'm going to call the vet to let them know and ask what I should I do. Are there any other questions that you think I should ask them?

Alright, it took a while to get in touch, they kept having a busy signal. Finally got in touch, they said that after anesthesia it does slow down the digestion process. She said I could go to any store: general store, health food, pet store and pick up a probiotic and mix it in with his food. Which someone here suggested to me as well. She didn't say it had to be a pet probiotic but I also didn't ask since she said any store. I do actually have a probiotic already. She said if he still hasn't pooped in a couple days to call back.

This is what I have, will this be okay?

Googled some ingredients:

Maltodextrin
is a polysaccharide (many carbohydrates joined together in a molecular chain) that is used as a food additive. It is produced from vegetable starch by partial hydrolysis and is usually found as a white hygroscopic spray-dried powder.

Maltodextrin is a white powder made from corn, rice, potato starch, or wheat. Even though it comes from plants, it's highly processed. ... However, after hydrolysis, corn syrup solids are at least 20 percent sugar, while maltodextrin is less than 20 percent sugar

there is also "starch" which I will assume is a carb..........maybe if added to LC food it might equal HC food?

Hope someone out there knows more than me!

I don't have a pet store nearby and I don't have my own vehicle so I'd have to wait until my brother gets off work tonight which the pet stores that are 30 minutes will be closed already. Any human probiotics that are more safe for cats or will this be okay despite having extra sugars and carbs? I don't think I'll be able to get out for a few days and it'd be a moot point by then because I'll have to take him to the vet in 2 days if he doesn't poop.
I'm pretty sure it's just in the vegetable capsule which he won't even be consuming so I don't think it's a big deal.

I'm just going to give it to him, I doubt it'll hurt him. The worst that will probably happen is diarrhea which I want him to poop anyway so maybe it'd help.

Dropping low for his PS again, he ate plenty earlier and +9.5 was decent at 75. I'm confused why it's dropping at the end, makes no sense to me. I'll test again in 15 minutes.

I shot a bit late again. I'm just being a scaredy cat, I have HC and corn syrup if needed. Another drop under 50 would be another reduction which can be seen as a positive. Maybe he'll go into remission with all these low numbers lately or at least he's becoming well regulated.
He's eating well today, I wonder how long it'll take for the probiotics to kick in. I gave him a dose of his antibiotics with a syringe which went fairly well today. He didn't eat those 2 doses that were in his food so I mixed it together and froze it, maybe he'll eat it that way as some snacks. Still waiting for him to pee today.

Sorry Brittany I went back offline as I needed to cut up and portion meat meals and freeze for the cats. I was able to buy some more meat, it’s been in short supply with everyone stocking up for when we go into lockdown. My cats only eat raw so I can’t stock up on canned.
I don’t think you are a scaredy-cat at all. You are just concerned about Thomas. I’m so glad he’s eating well today.

I'm glad you were able to stock up on some meat. It's been crazy busy in the stores so I'm glad I went shopping last month and stocked up then. Still need a few extra things though now that I think about it. I know 50s are shootable but I worry he'll drop low. Yes, I'm thankful he has such a good appetite. Hoping he'll have a bowel movement by tomorrow.

Was testing him before his dinner, it was 79. Pretty sure he stole Hidee's food while I was in the bathroom because her bowl was turned over in the floor and that's not something she does. Ugh, of course it's right before I test him.
