I was so encouraged by last weekends yellow/blue surf but she is back to the pinks and reds even after the dosecrease. Hoping it is New Dose Wonkiness and she will settle down tomorrow.

Now, now, now Miss Hyde. It's a tradional party day, but that doesn't mean you need to celebrate by flying high. So.....how 'bout coming down. Please.

Yup, New Dose Wonkiness, always hate that part about increasing. Here's to a set of much paler colours on the SS in the new year.
 
Once again, she listened to her aunties!! A PS that is almost green!:D:D:D

Never would have guessed that we would end the year with such a low PS and such a high daily dose of insulin. Thanks to all who have coaxed and cajoled us up the dosing scale. Hope the vet does not have a heart attack at our mid-January appointment!:eek::eek: I predict that we will be over 40u BID by then...

Love that +1 too. :cool::cool: Maybe Hyde wants you to stay up late and celebrate the New Year with her.
 
I would save the HC for under 50. How about a couple tsps of LC and test again in 30 minutes? Let's see what she does before deciding on a reduction.

How is Hyde acting? This is all pretty new to her too.:D
 
Sounds like Hyde is in the happy zone. First times Neko went low like that she hid under the bed.
 
OK - so, another 2 tests at 30 minutes to make sure that she is going up, right? May see midnight after all!

And what should we do tomorrow at AMPS if she is not bouncing? If she gives a low to mid blue?

I have never really looked at Hyde's spreadsheet before, but I noticed this quote and I thought you were having a lend of us o_O I've never seen a dose that large before, wow. Do you need to split it into two shots, how do you work it? Hyde must have to be still for a long time for you to get all that in.
 
Wow, just logged on this morning, can't believe what I'm seeing, is this Hyde?
Looks like she's got her own celebration going on, Crystal's never been that low.

Well, I bought 5 boxes of 3/10cc syringes and still have more than 2 full boxes left. At over 60u per day, we are going through pens pretty quickly, so some days we use 2 syringes per dose to finish one and not contaminate the new one with the same syringe. I also bought some 50u syringes. They also make 100u syringes. I am hoping that Hyde will find a happy dose before we need to resort to 100u syringes.:eek::eek:

Hyde is a very accommodating cat - she lets us do anything we want and I think she has figured out that the whole process leads to her feeling better.
 
I've also got the 100u syringes but opinions seem to think it's best to split the large doses (for better absorption) so I still stick with the 30u syringes and Crystal gets 30u in each, one on each side of her body, plus the R in her scruff.
Guess you won't be needing the R today!
