Girlie still on the straight and narrow: go Girlie!! She seems to be holding that bounce break she did after AM+3 yesterday. I slept through the PM+4 last night, but her PM+11 was 191, so still in the blues. Fingers crossed she sticks with the program today and has another good, steady day.

I moved her time up 15 minutes this morning, erring on the side of caution so I didn't in any way jinx her good numbers yesterday. Two more days and we'll be back on schedule.

Vet visit this afternoon to check all of her blood chemistry levels, etc. I'm sure the vet will be pleased with her numbers since the 0.75 increase. Happy dance right now! :joyful:

Just a procedural question re: BG tests and food. Girlie typically goes to eat right before I'm about to test her. She's good at self-monitoring in that sense and knows when she needs food. Should I remove her food and make her wait the ten minutes or so until I test and then give her the food she wants, or let her just eat and then test her straight away? Because she's so picky about food, she could just decide to walk away if I take her food away (at least temporarily) - she's done that before. Just not sure whether her having something to eat right before her BG test will influence it that quickly.

Don't worry if it's LC you are feeding. The carbs typically take 20-30 minutes to go from the plate the the bloodstream anyway. So if she has eaten 10 minutes before the test, you are fine.

Bit of a drop to that +2. I hope she got some food then. Looks like an active cycle.

Thanks, Wendy. She doesn't like it when I remove food when she's actually interested in eating it. I did give her a tsp of MC (13) food at +2 and that seemed to bring her back up.

Do I look at the BG level on the previous test re: a drop, or do I look at the pre-shot value - or doesn't it really matter?

Interesting that even after the vet, where she had to have blood drawn and was not impressed, she still had gone down and tested at 124 when we got home. I thought stress would bring her BG levels up, but maybe it takes longer after a vet visit to do that? On 16 Aug her BG levels went down when I tested straight after we got home, but then she went to black by her PMPS. Still, that was only her first full day on the 0.75 dose increase. It'll be interesting to see how she goes today. Fingers crossed she stays steady...

Sorry, I don't understand what you are asking. Just feed as you normally would when testing.

As for BG levels at the vet, it's ECID. It didn't impact Neko and often she went lower. Her blood pressure on the other hand...
