Good morning everyone. Two days post dental and it looks like BG is starting to even out for Moe. He spent most of the day yesterday in the pinks (one red). This morning I gave him 3.5 units of insulin.

He’s still spaced out on buprenorphine, so giving him the clavamox tablets is not as hard as usual. He finally pooped this morning - yay! - and is peeing a ton due to the extra fluids he got Monday. Eating well and no ketones this morning.

He’s currently resting in a cabinet in the bathroom adjacent to my home office, and cone-free at the moment. I’m trying to coax him out into my office but he’s still a bit jumpy. All in all a good start to the day.

I just went up to check on him. He had pulled his blankie out of the cabinet and was laying on it in the middle of the floor. :joyful: I guess he’s feeling better. He’s now eating a pouch of TikiCat mousse and purring like crazy.

PMPS is 372, gave 3.5 units. Moe got his bupe at 7:30 and clavamox at 8:00. He’s eating some Fancy Feast now. He finally came out of the bathroom and visited me in my office for a few minutes. He’s still really jumpy though; any loud noise makes him duck back into the cabinet. I guess that’s the bupe making him a little paranoid?

Anyway, I’m pleased with his recovery so far. Hopefully his BG will start to come down as he heals and the infection goes away.
