Good morning from rain soaked Sydney! The rain has stopped (except for showers) and the sun is trying to come out. DIL still without power. She unpacked frig and freezer and brought it all here last night. Local shops affected so no hot chickens, frozen food or hot bread available and a massive tree down at the entrance to the shops which took out the electricity. Had a troup for dinner last night - it is amazing how you can put together a meal with nothing much when you have to!!;)
Much of coastal NSW flooded - poor things who are affected.

Sheba's numbers haven't been great last few days and her appetite was a bit off as well, so don't know what was going on, if anything. But she is starving today so maybe she is on the move. The decreases for outings etc sure pay havoc with the numbers, don't they?

Thanks Sienne and Gabby, Vyktor, Chris and China, Vicki and BJM for looking in and good wishes. Thanks for the mold info BJM.
Hope everyone is having a good day with their furry friends and vines to all in need

You could have had a little New Dose Wonkiness going on, in addition to stress of all the family. She may even sense your stress. If she hasn't been as hungry, maybe that means she no longer as comfortable as she was in pinks. :) Paws crossed for better numbers today. Hear that Sheba - a nice DAY cycle would be appreciated.

Good to hear things are easing off with the weather. Paws crossed DIL gets power back soon. Thanks goodness she doesn't have insulin in the fridge!

Glad to hear the worst of it is over and hope the clean-up goes quickly!!

I have to agree with Wendy...I'd think with all the stress of the storms and having a houseful of people to feed, it may be that Sheba is just stressed out.

Hopefully once things settle back down, so will she!!

A thought - if the carpet isn't fastened down, you might lift it up around the edges and underneath for faster drying. A fan will help circulate the air and move out the humidity.

Hoping for some sun for y'all! And some good numbers for Sheba!! Maybe as the weather settles down, she will, too. Don't animals sense that sort of thing?

@BJM
Thanks so much for thinking of us. That is very kind of you. The area that was flooded does have carpet that can be lifted up so DH has pulled it back, mopped and wiped the floor to dry it and has a couple of fans on to try and dry it all out.. When we first moved here 22 years ago we had a couple of massive floodings in the garage. We had the drainage system upgraded and now it only floods when the pool overflows. DH had emptied water out of the pool several times during the day and evening and I had checked it a couple of times during the night when I was up testing Sheba and it was OK. Then we had a deluge -I heard it and thought I should get up and check but fell asleep instead and found the result in the morning:(

Hi Bron, you really have been through a tough time lately, hopefully you are over the worse and can get back to normal soon. Perhaps Sheba has been upset by all the activity too, although her +7 looks like a return to better figures. Paws crossed for you.

It certainly has been a tough time for you with the weather lately Bron. Thinking of all of you and all the best with the clean up too.
