Gizmo is surfing along. I am still checking his BG every night. I have a stockpile of strips that need used anyways. Last night was the first night he has been close to the 120 mark (114) in quite a while. I’m sure he will head back down to the lagoon soon. As long as his numbers stay under 120 on AT2, I will be happy.

He continues to love to eat! :) He is now easily eating 2 cans of friskies a day (averaging around 360-380 calories a day), but is struggling to gain any weight. He is at least holding steady around 10 pounds right now. Once he starts to gain some weight, I will experiment with some better food again, but right now I just need him eating.

We go back to the vet on Thursday for more blood work to check his thyroid and all the other values. We are still fine tuning his hyperT meds. My hope is that once that gets under better control, he will start to gain some weight.

Sending vines to all kitties in need and :bighug: to their beans!

Hooray for OTJ! :woot: It must feel so weird to not test and be able to go out/sleep without worry, not a bad problem to have, I’m sure you’ll get used to it. ;)

Pile on those calories and gain some weight, Gizmo. :cat:

I hope you figure out the meds soon and he is able to fill out a bit. :bighug:

Great overall Report!
I hope that he starts to gain weight, perhaps with his rapidly improving BG's after the drug therapy, his weight hasn't had a chance to catch up.

Sending BW vines.
Keep us posted.

Definitely different and strange not to worry so much. Last night, I put his breakfast in the feeder, so I wouldn’t have to get up this morning. However, I heard the feeder turn and when a cat jumped out of our bed I figured it was the civvie going to steal his food. Yep ... so I still ended up getting up this morning (at least long enough to drag Daisy away from his bowl). Then the silly kitty demanded another breakfast when I actually got out of bed an hour later. And I of course obliged. :joyful:

@Christie & Maverick
I was just searching for Maverick’s spreadsheet to see how he is doing, but I can’t find it. I hope everything is alright with you guys. :bighug:
I'm sorry, I've been MIA lately, was so proud of you and over the moon to see Gizmo's progress and finally getting to OTJ :bighug: I was hoping you'd get more sleep-ins but knowing the crew of critters you have, one of them would be certain to wake you up too early :D.

I've been at bit lazy updating the US values on my SS, I didn't think anyone was looking  :p. Mav's ok, we just keep on with these silly bounces, I had managed to keep him on the same dose for almost 6 weeks, it was getting him to nice healthy greens, albeit a few days apart. Then he busted through with a 43 a few nights ago, and I had to reduce, and of course his numbers were terrible the last few cycles after that, but today was a bit better.

Still wondering I need to change something, maybe Levemir might be better...maybe I need to go back to the AT2, I just don't know what else to do. Mav is still his happy go lucky self, wish I could get flatter cycles like some people here, but that's just not Mav, he likes his bounces I guess. I sure do appreciate you checking in on us, I've kind of felt not really part of this forum lately, even when I was actively posting and participating... so thank you for thinking of us :bighug:

So true, but I wouldn’t change it for anything, even sleeping in. Well, except maybe the puppy. :woot::joyful: She is so bad, but getting better. I’m more of a morning person anyways, so my natural alarm clock tends to wake me up.

I can’t locate your spreadsheet at all. For some reason, I can’t even see your signature anymore. Technology is great ... when it works. :p Wow ... 6 weeks ... that’s amazing! :D Good luck with the reducie. I hope it sticks.

The only regret I had with levemir was that I didn’t try it sooner. Gizmo was already on the downhill slide, but lev was amazing. The bouncing stopped. It might be worth a shot for Maverick. For Gizmo though, he nadired early on Levemir (around +3) and then surfed the rest of the cycle.

Glad to hear that Maverick is happy. It’s hard to believe how attached I’ve come to other people’s kitties! I don’t often have time to post much through the week, but I usually still check in and read the condos. :bighug:

:bighug::bighug::bighug:So good to see you Christie!!! Weird, I don’t see your signature (with SS ) either.
Sounds like Mav is good. If you’re considering a switch to Lev I think its a great idea. It really seems to flatten out most. Hope all is well with you!!
Happy Spring:cool:
