Sheba had a great day yesterday spending several hours in green:D
Last night she had a preshot of 112 and although she did not go back to the lagoon, her numbers stayed under 170.

She woke me this morning out of a deep sleep, vomiting beside my bed. I picked her up and took her to the bathroom so most of it ended up on the bathroom floor. I don't know what it was she vomited, but it wasn't food. There was a leaf there and what looked like fibre type stuff. I can't think where she found it.
Anyway she is fine now and ate her breakfast.

Her AMPS 326 so looks like a bounce (sigh)

Vines to all kitties and beans in need

Awesome 24 hours yesterday! Sorry about the bounce - a rest day for you.

And ugh on the pukus. Any plants she could have gotten her paws on?

Love how the cats will fight tooth and nail to throw up on carpet when I'm trying to get them to the laminate when they are about to puke.

Those were some great numbers yesterday! Come on back down now, Sheba!

Great day for Sheba yesterday. Sorry it's not continuing and for the pukus maximus episode, great way to be woken up, not, but glad to hear she is feeling better.

Hi Bron. It is good that Sheba is okay after vomiting and that she is eating well too. They were great glucose levels yesterday and if it can happen once it can happen again. :) I have started thinking of bounces differently after a conversation on the FDMB facebook group which I have mentioned to you about some cats bouncing all the way to remission. I decided after reading that conversation that I would try and ignore the bounces and instead consider the blue and green numbers causing the bounces the true glucose levels from that dose. The bounces are just the body adjusting to lower glucose levels and this is understandable. As a consequence I have been feeling more relaxed about the bounces.:D Best wishes for more good glucose levels for Sheba and a hug for you too. :bighug:

Fell asleep this afternoon on the bed, in the sun (lovely) and didn't test Sheba. Thought she would just drift down, so got a surprise to see 85 when I tested at +8. Good girl Sheba:D.
I didn't sleep well last night. Went to bed at a reasonable hour but couldn't drop off. My mind was settled just couldn't drift off. Saw 2.30am and still awake. Usually a good sleeper.Consequently tired today.

Hi Voula, good to see you!
Thanks for the info on bounces. They are more frustrating than anything I think.
Yes Sheba is fine after the vomit this morning. She obviously got into something but I can't find out what it was. She is not typically one to vomit unless she eats something like grass or eats too fast.

Thanks Carla, Stacey, Voula, Wendy and Suki for stopping by. I don't have plants or flowers in the house now Wendy, because Sheba will always eat them and it is amazing how many of them are not cat friendly or outright poisonous. I think the leaf must have come in on someone's shoes or blown in....it is quite windy. I have no idea what the other stuff was....quite a mystery

Glad you didn't sleep through that vomit and find it with your bare feet ;)

To answer your question from the other day about mums choice of 4am/4pm shot times - mum doesn't do well with late nights so shooting that early means she doesn't (or hasn't yet anyway anti-jinx) have to be up into the early hours testing. The 4am is okay because she can go back to sleep after. Purrdy's signal test works best at +3 so she has a few more hours sleep before having to get up for that and then, if she's really tired, she can usually grab a bit more sleep after that. It also seems to be a good time to make social adjustments from, eg if she wants to go out for dinner she can shuffle back in advance so she can get signal test to she if she gets a leave pass or if she's planning a long lunch or afternoon tea or something she can shuffle forward a little.
